so i got a new 144hz monitor for christmas and it plays good on geometry dash, but when i try to play on windowed mode the fps dont go over 60 fps and i have tried turning v-sync on and off. also, if im playing full screen mode with 144 fps and minimize my game, when i open the game again it doesnt go over 60fps aswell and i have to close and start the game again. is this normal or can it be fixed?

Unfortunately I have heard this is normal. As far as I know there is nothing you can really do about this. I would just try to not minimize your game as often.
