For Christmas, I got a samsung galaxy s8. I downloaded Geometry Dash only to find out that there is a good amount of input lag (probably 5~10 ms) between my taps and the icon's action. I've tried using the game's low detail mode and the other options for performance provided, but they have not worked. I need some ideas for reducing this input lag. I should also note that I downloaded Geometry Dash through the Amazon Appstore, since I had already paid for the game there. As for the Google Play Store version, I haven't bought the game yet.

Try turning of all the background apps, turn of the Wifi, and such.
If it still doesn't reduce the lag, then try to reboot your phone and see if it worked.

Did all of the things you told me to do, input lag still remains. I forgot to mention that the input lag happens at random times when I play a level.

Did all of the things you told me to do, input lag still remains. I forgot to mention that the input lag happens at random times when I play a level.
I just kind of solved the problem by using my phone for a long time, then the lag just magically disappeared.
I feel like the lag happens because your phone is not "initialized" yet, so it is not used to playing games like Geometry Dash yet.
Just use it for some amount of time, and the lag will eventually disappear. |
