Might want to change the title to "Demon Guardian breaks" because the Demon Gauntlet is a whole other thing and some people might be confused by that.

No idea, never heard this one before.
The only thing I can think of is exiting fullscreen going through the games files and moving things, but I have no idea what.

maybe the animation where he "poofs" out of the cell crashes the game for some unbeknownst to mankind reason? if so, try scrolling through like 3 million game files to find and delete that.
ORRR you could tell us your tech specs so we can identify whether you're in need of a beefier computer.

Do you have a recent save you can try loading? This could bring your progress back and hopefully the keyholes back. After that to actually unlock him again I would recommend pressing escape a billion times after it starts to black out, as that works for other situations I got in. (If I'm understanding you correctly)

I'm surprised none of you have ever encountered this problem, it was very common back in early 2.1 and there are probably 10+ threads in Resolved detailing the more common version of this problem and its solution. You need to click somewhere the game recognizes to refresh the screen. Since the monster is in the middle of their dialogue, the only recognizable locations are the keyholes, where he then goes on to give snippets of information. You need to click on any one of those quickly after the black screen appears, before the game realizes something is wrong and force crashes itself. The screen should then refresh and continue normally. After they finish their dialogue you may encounter another black screen and the back button is now clickable to exit the room. This solution also works for other cases, like when exiting the daily level or the Quests screen. However, unlocking all three keyholes are a special case. I also answered this problem in two other threads. There is nowhere to click after unlocking the monster since there are several seconds in the middle where it just starts smiling. I bypassed this by minimizing the game repeatedly since the game doesn't load while minimized, making it not realize the game has turned black and crash. This allowed me to finish the dialogue. However, the game turns black immediately after the dialogue ends and I crashed there. Now the three keyholes are gone but the monster is still inside ( link), so I would advise against trying to unlock the cage until RobTop fixes this black screen bug. If you are fast enough to back out afterward, you might be able to make it work. However, I would just suggest using another device where the black screen bug does not occur, it's much easier and has a lower chance of failing. If you do not have an earlier save I don't think there is anything you can do. |

the bug i had was exactly the black screen bug, i'll use the first one because i'm still having that bug. as for the second one, unfortunately i don't have an earlier save so for now we can say that unlocking the gauntlet is impossible. this might not be allowed, but would you recommend me to use hacks? Not sure what you could do with hacks, but I guess you could try if you really wanted. The gauntlet should unlock itself eventually anyway. |
