Hi there! I'm Dubby! <3 I'll be reviewing your level, Funimation III, using the USFE Volt-o-Meter System (Solo Ver). Long story short, the scoring goes in letter order: U -> S -> F -> E, but if you want the full details, click here.
This may be an auto level, but there is a part where you can fly as the Ship through rings to collect a coin. I think it's nice to take a break from animations and to just enjoy some art. On top of that, the ring-collecting minigame is pretty fun. It's really easy, but entertaining at the same time. As for the easter egg part, I'm not exactly sure about anything.
There isn't enough to judge the gameplay on, which is understandable for an auto level.
All I can say is wowwwwwwwwww. A lot of these effects are incredibly well-made. My favorites are the ones at 1:49, 1:56, 2:04, 2:10, 2:18, 3:01, 3:10, and 3:23. Those are just the ones I like the most, and I can easily say all of them are very good. None of them go on for too long (except maybe the Easter Egg one), and they're all pretty cool to watch.
One thing I must point out is the incredibly smooth animation of the cubes. The cubes move and "speak" very realistically, which is honestly pretty hard to master, so well done here.
I also really like the colors. They're incredibly varied and are always cohesive, even when, on paper, they sound unnerving.
One more thing I need to point out is something I didn't like so much: the layout for the "Hall of Effects". It looked pretty sloppy and unorganized to me. I think you could've had like a picture frame, and then put an effect in it, then make another same-sized picture frame and do the same, etc. But nonetheless, I still absolutely love this level's design. E
Well, I guess the only thing left is the synchronization. The song can trail in some parts, probably due to some lag, and while there are a few parts that aren't so good such as the "Easter Egg" part, the sync as a whole is pretty spot-on for the most part.
Again, there isn't enough to say about this level since it doesn't have any real gameplay besides one little part.
EDIT: Wait, there is one weird complaint I have: the blue cube in the Hall of Effects looks kinda unfinished. Oh, and I also agree with JY: having custom fonts would make this level look a bit better.
This is an incredible work of art. I absolutely love everything about this level from the concept to the execution. The effects are masterfully created with very cohesive colors and designs. There are a few hiccups along the way of course, but they're not big enough to detract from the overall quality. I think I'm gonna send this to a mod, and we'll see what happens from there. Feature-Worthy10/10
Ok really though I agree with the review. The effects are pretty good, and it's cool how you still put in gameplay for the coin. The only other suggestion I have is maybe making custom fonts for the beginning parts, the GD fonts look kinda of strange against all the high quality stuff going on in the back.
notvx: anybody know how to make extreme demon gameplay?
