I don’t know why this is, but I hit play on a level with about 10k objects, GD freezes for about a MINUTE (ridiculous), and then it crashes. And btw, I’m not on a low end device. I’m on a 2016 MacBook Air. Does anyone know why this happens?

Mac is known for not being very good for playing GD. RiverCiver showcased that playing on a Mac caused incredible lag on low end levels like Fingerdash. I recommend switching devices, either to mobile or to a Windows PC.
What is the level you are trying to play?

How many levels did you test with this? It could possibly be that the levels you are trying to play have a ton of objects clustered towards the beginning of the level, and that causes a crash.

1. GD is poorly optimised 2. Windows are beefier than Macs in general 3. Just get a better laptop, Windows are cheaper and more worthwhile

I looked into the MacBook Air 2016 and noticed that it has really bad memory. There's only 128 GB on a standard model, so it's clearly not really meant to play games. You will likely have to switch computers. I looked into it and there are a few gaming laptops around the same price point as a MacBook Air which have better processors and more storage. Cyclicle
