Hi.
One time, when I commented on a popular level, and checked the comments section a couple minutes later, my comment was gone. The comments before it were still there, and there were new comments. I thought that this was maybe a bug, or maybe a mod deleted it because it was spam (it said that the level was too hard for me to beat). Well, I never minded that.
Then, the same thing happened to me last month. It was a different level and a different comment. I ignored that as well.
This week, about half of the comments I make get deleted. I have no idea why, but since those are comments, I don't care that much. Here's what concerns me more.
Today, when I went to GD and opened my Online Levels, about 2/3 of them were gone. This included a "Level WIP" which I spent over a month working on. When I typed their IDs or titles in the search (I had them saved for level request streams lol), they didn't show up either. All of them are completely gone!
This reminded me of a case a couple months ago. I was working on an GD art, but since I didn't feel like making an actual level for it, I decided to give it to one of my GD friends as a copyable unlisted level. Well, when I uploaded it, he couldn't find it, and when I went to my Online Levels I couldn't see it either. I re-uploaded it and it worked fine. (How did I know the ID? It shows on the bottom of the screen from which you can edit the level).
It also reminded me of this: there were several levels I uploaded in the past that I kinda forgot about and never noticed they got deleted too. For the last couple months when I randomly browsed my online levels out of boredom, they weren't there. For example, there was a Kappa pixel-art copyable that I clearly remember uploading, but it isn't in my levels list.
I made a test level called "Ajit Pai" (best worst title ever, i know) with just a couple random spikes and a custom song. All it took was about a half hour, and boom! It's gone from my online levels.
Oh, btw, the deleted levels still show up in my created levels (that aren't uploaded) labeled as "Uploaded" with the ID and everything, but other than that it seems that they don't exist. The only way I could go is copy them and upload them as fresh levels after re-verifying, but those very positive comments and suggestions that I wanted to keep to make my level better are all gone.
My two guesses are that either GD has a system of deleting levels that are old and unplayed (although that wouldn't explain why my 100-download level got deleted but the same levels from other people don't, and why it only took 30 minutes for another level to get deleted), or that a mod is stalking me and abusing his power. I can't come to any other conclusion. If this is a known issue, is there a way to fix it? If not, I'll be e-mailing Robtop, because if I get a level featured and it gets deleted like that it'll be a LOT more frustrating than it already is.
