So I haven't been playing geometry dash for a week. I logged in to see what the update 2.11 will be (just released) and I noticed how laggy everything was. From mechanical showdown and up. Remember, my laptop can handle osu, csgo, dota, batman without any sort of lag (or maybe a little). I don't know cause GD is smaller than the games I play. What happened?

GD has always been badly optimized, I guess the new update just made it worse. I can see others having the same problem and a generalized thread would be good to discuss possible solutions, but I guess that can happen just as well in Game Support. Moving. venus |

I would highly recommend turning on Low Detail Mode, as it works properly now.

How severe is the lag? Is it to the point where you can't play anymore? If so, then nothing really can be done.
But if it's noticeable yet tolerable, then you might be able to turn on Smooth Fix in the options. It doesn't do too much, but it kinda helps, at least it did for me. But if you're lagging to the point where the screen goes at 0.5 fps, I don't think you'll get much of a result out of this.

Turn on these options:
Smooth FIx
Load songs to memory
Low Detail.
Disable:
High Detail
Maybe Toggle on High Capacity mode

Same here. The newest update has caused many lag issues on my phone. I tested also old levels from 1.8 (3 years ago) and after the beginning of the level (Fire Temple by Michigun) it began to lag from nowhere...Idk what is going on here. The mobile version of GD has so many bugs that I doubt Robtop is going to eliminate these bugs. The Steam version works perfectly fine. I have activated Low Detail Mode since years and the game went smoothly. But after a few days I have inexplicable lags and delays that levels without object spam can't be completed. I thought maybe my phone is broken and nothing can be done but other apps are working fine without lags.
Last chance: Would it help me to delete all the save data from my device? But in that case I would lose my whole progress.
Robtop, do something....
