crossblade I'm not a judge but I'll try my best to help you with this level!

Sync is really good throughout the level btw and the gameplay seems fun.

0-10% looks pretty good, but the air deco seems a bit simplistic. This part is really good otherwise so moving on...

10-15% has good air deco but the weird yellow things that pop up don't really fit with the rest of the part. Maybe make them lighter or more transparent but as it is now it looks really weird.

15-20% is the same deal with 0-10%, the air deco seems really empty in parts, especially near the black things at the bottom.

20-28% looks great, but the block design is a bit too simplistic compared to the rest of the level. Also, the sawblade colors and the platforms at the ball part are really weird contrasted with the rest of the colors, maybe make them the same/similar with the background and it should be okay.

28-35% is great!

37-45% is really good overall, I especially like the air deco here. The only problem is that the color pulses here don't really fit with the rest of the level. Like I said before, make them similar or find some other colors then this part will look great.

45-50% doesn't look very good in my opinion I like the sawblades and the background with the arrows moving up and down is very unique. The block design is really simplistic and empty, and doesn't really fit in with the rest of the level. The "keep going" transition looks really good though!

50-57% looks great. The block design seems kinda simplistic but I like it. The air deco looks especially great.

57-71% looks gorgeous; I love every part of it! The first ship especially is incredible.

71-77% looks good in general, but the pulses are incredibly jarring and doesn't fit with the part at all. I think that getting rid of the pulses entirely would fix this problem. Otherwise though, I like this part, especially the sawblades.

71 to the end looks very pretty and I like it a lot, and here I think the green color fits very well.


Overall, I like this level a lot and I think it deserves at least a rate, and maybe even a feature!

Design - 2.4/2.5
Almost perfect, not sure on the glowing yellow spikes though. That's my only niggle, FANTASTIC job!

Decoration - 1.7/2
Nearly perfect again, I just feel it is a little bit lacking and other levels do offer more in the way of effects and backgrounds. Otherwise, a very solid job!

Gameplay - 4/4.5
It's very rare a level gets a 4 or more from me in gameplay, but there is very little to fault with this. It's fun and works extremely well with the level. There's a good variety of vehicles, the design/decoration doesn't override the gameplay whatsoever, it's not too static and there are some nice interesting elements. Some might find the odd transition a bit annoying and too quick to get into the nex thing and perhaps there is one too many pauses and the end might be a bit too easy in comparison, but overall it is a really solid job!

Nothing new, nothing old. Nothing overused either. No multiplier applied.

Other Observations Index - x1
Nothing worth marking the level up for, or down for that matter.

RESULT: 9.2/10 - EXCELLENT LEVEL - (FEATURE-WORTHY LEVEL)
For: Fantastic design, fantastic gameplay, superb music synching
Against: Nothing much...
