The game will not open for me. Was practicing a level, closed the game and tried to reopen the game 5 minutes later.
I'm not sure how to fix this, I've checked for driver updates and have uninstalled/reinstalled the game twice. I have also reset my computer and tested other steam games (which work).
Any suggestions?

Have you downloaded malicious software? It could have acted up all of a sudden.
If so, remove the software and then try. Sorry for being a bit vague but this is pretty weird.

I have multiple antiviruses that haven't picked up anything bad Haven't downloaded anything in the recent days. Again, other steam games work.

Try and do that by going into the game files and removing that.

try refreshing the cache data of GD and see if that solves anything. I found a similar problem on the steam support forum. Try and do that by going into the game files and removing that. Not sure what cache data is. cache data is basically what allows games to reopen on something like the pause screen (ie, if you have an iPhone, when you double tap the home button and swipe up on the apps) try this for the computer. Try going into the game files and removing this. This shouldn’t remove your actual data.

Not sure what you mean. I've gone offline and online several times and that's about as close to restarting as I can think of EDIT: I have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Steam itself and Geometry Dash is still the only game not to work. Here's something new though. Have a look.

This is exactly what it does: 1.) Says "running" 2.) Sets my status to "ingame" 3.) Never opens Geometry Dash 4.) Sets my status to "online"

This should work, but I haven’t tried it. I've actually fixed it now, after some loooonnngggg searching in the steam forums. I had to go into Local AppData and delete all the files. @boringcleric7 please move to Resolved
