It's me. Katsu! So since I got on phone, I've been bummed out that I can't change my practice music, or make NONGS anymore.... Until I figured out how! This tutorial/guide DOESN'T require a lot, not even a root. It just means you have to install one app. But more on that later.
Sadly, this only works for Android users, by the way.
So the example I'll use is: I wanna change my menu music. First, I suggest you back up your save data. There may be slim chances this couldn't awry. SECOND, let's say I wanna change my menu song to Hydra by F-777. I need to download a .mp3 of the song, and rename it "menuLoop.mp3". Remember this is interchangeable and can work with any song. Next, you download an app called "APK Editor." This app is safe, and if you don't trust it, you can uninstall it afterwards. On the startup screen, press "Select APK from app" then choose Geometry Dash, then press "Simple Edit." At the toolbar at the top, select Audios. You should see a bunch of audio files from the app with two signs next to them. Now find the song you wanna replace (in my case menuLoop) and select the notebook looking icon (the first one). A browser should pop up and you should be able to find your file you renamed earlier. Select it. To test if it worked, press the play symbol next to the file name. Once you're finished. Press Save, and it should generate a new APK file, and tell you where it is located. Once you find it and install it, it should act like an update and won't mess with any existing data. And you just have to update it. And that is pretty much it.
If this was hard to follow, I apologize. I don't have a way to add pictures to this, but I tried really hard with the description. And a few extra things. If you wanna make a NONG, it's the same steps, but you must choose an original RobTop official level song to replace. Also that means the NONG you make will be unable to fade out or have an offset. Yes it's limited but it'd be better than nothing.
So was this helpful? I tried. Thanks for reading! -Katsu
