So, I'm getting an error message, along the lines of:
The application could not run because of (0xc00000e5).
It's really peeing me off, and in fact, I can't open anything apart from my antivirus and Chrome.
If anyone can resolve this, please tell me how to fix it, and I'll thank you forever.
Comply.

Which antivirus do you have? That may be causing the problem.
Looking up the error code, it looks like there is some third party application that may be causing it.

I have Trend Micro Maximum Security or something like that, but my brother installed Avast, so I reckon it's a fake, because the problems started once he installed that. Thanks for the help. 😀

Uninstall that, then try and have the antivirus scan and remove the malicious content. See if that helps.

Get rid of Avast because it's a garbage antivirus. It tends to do a lot of false alarms (I know because I used to have it but then I got rid of it). If you do it, check if you can run the game normally. If not, try putting the game as an exception from scanning.
