Hello, I'm a creator within Geometry Dash that is looking to improve their abilities within the game. Gameplay, Decoration, Originality, all of it. I have recently released a level by the name of "Eradication" which is by far my best level, but it requires much improvement in my opinion. I will list out the improvements I think I can do, just so nobody has to "reinvent the wheel" I.E. tell me something I'm already aware of. I'd love it if you guys could scrape down this level of mine, and judge it all the way through.
Things I am aware of/Things you should be aware of: - The black UFO isn't of high quality. - The second section (B&W Ship) has moving objects that affect gameplay. - The level's style changes a lot, this has a good reason, I do not stick to one theme within my levels, it's restrictive towards a person's creative ability. I like to change styles according to ideas within my head at that moment. And the style changes also relate to the song, for example, it goes from a hot volcano while the song is somewhat intense, to a low-temperature cave, as the song slows. I believe changing the theme of a level frequently shows your abilities better, and shows you can be more creative. - The volcano part is a bit lackluster. - The song has a high frequency of usage. - There are a lot of object heavy parts. - The level looks really bad in Low-Detail Mode. - Black UFO coin is very easy to obtain. - This level is more of a decoration/art level. - The gameplay is not great. - This level you are mostly forced to practice, but it does not have many if any, surprises.
Here's a video by my friend Chaotic/IChaoticI:
Here is the level's ID: 37357165
Enjoy, I'll respond to the criticism I get explaining, agreeing, disagreeing, and I'll make sure everything goes into consideration for my next level. Contact me on Discord if you wish, SHADERS#2853, just remember to post a reply here, as I don't accept random friend requests.

I played this level to try to get a feel of the gameplay but I simply will not play the beginning anymore. Absolutely horendous. Maybe the worst gameplay I've ever seen in a level. Give me the password so I can actually play the level ao you will get a review.

Some parts like the space part feel really empty and some parts feel kinda bland and unoriginal like the rock part(idk how to call it) and the grass part. No offense, but the beginning and the ending parts look hideous IMO, especially that first UFO. Otherwise, this is pretty nice and some of the effects look really good

(First time reviewing a level so excuse me if it's terrible) So i will break the level down to multiple parts and give you my opinion on the gameplay, the visuals, the music sync (i will also mention the originality of the level but since this is not as important to me i will only mention it once). Ok then let's go!!!
So the very first part of the level has gameplay based on timing and it's not that bad. The effect is also pretty cool (even though it's a bit nauseating).
The second part however shows the biggest problem the gameplay has in this level... it's TOO sudden. The platforms pop out of nowhere and it's quite irritating. The effect is also a bit static for my taste but i will say that the block design is pretty good.
The UFO part after has some of the worst gameplay in the whole level. It's again too sudden but there is also the fact that there is an orb that shows you where to go... BUT the radius is too small to see anything so you die to spikes repeatedly that you can't see. There isn't anything to say about the visuals other than the glow effect is pretty cool. I don't really care about the coin not being good because it's VERY hard to create good coins so... yeah.
Title screen.......... nothing to say about that. Boss fight time! The gameplay again is too sudden and quite annoying and the visuals are nothing too special (not bad but not great). The next part is actually very good. The gameplay is not too sudden and kind of fun imo. The visuals are also very good with some great looking planets and good looking meteors(?)
The ball after has also ok gameplay with good looking mountains and clouds that are NOT COPY PASTED FROM THE EDITOR (thankfully). Both the next spider and robot have mediocre gameplay but at least it's not sudden. Also you can clearly see a shift in styles (which i don't mind) going from "realistic" art to pixel art. The pixel art is fine so no problems there.
And now we come to probably my favourite part in the level... THE VOLCANO PART. The gameplay here is good and the volcano itself is GREAT. I also enjoy the smoke effect but that's probably just me...
This next cave part is also good with some good visuals to back it up. The gameplay is fine (though it is a bit too sudden for me). I have nothing to say about the auto part other than it's a bit longer than i would have liked...
Then we come to the wave part which has AN AWFUL TRANSITION. I mean jesus christ it's WAYYYYYY too sudden and i find myself dying over and over again. The visuals are also not that good with only some block design to back it up.........BUT the gameplay (with the exclusion of the transition) has the most fun gameplay of the whole level sooooooooo good job! Then at last we come to the final three parts that have decent gameplay and decent visuals..... nothing more to say really.....
IN conclusion... this could honestly be a starred level in my eyes. The gameplay is mediocre to say the least, BUT the visuals more than make up for it. The music sync is acceptable and some parts like the volcano, the space and the mountain parts are pretty original.
As a final note... you should continue to create and trying to improve (especially in the gameplay department because you already know how to create good visuals). I look forward to your next level but until then... GOODBYE!

Basically one of my priorities in level design, it's a sign of laziness. 2. Weird, the volcano part was the one I'd think was the worst because I was using default blocks and everything for it, without much art on the actual blocks. I could've made the volcano part a ton better imo but I wanted to get past it because I hated the gameplay in it. Thanks for giving a review on my level, this is really helpful and I'll keep everything in mind for my next level! Also, another thing to note, on the topic of music sync, I synced the small drum beats (Hard to hear them w/ low volume) and I synced the atmosphere of the level to the musical atmosphere, for example, the song is fast and erratic so the volcano would fit it, then it cools and so does the level, resulting in that. The wave part itself was meant to be achievable with a low object count, so I tried to spice it up the best I could, since it's 4x I couldn't have like the cave effects or the cloud effects, since that's an easy way to get people killed, not because they got themselves killed, but because lag killed them.

Again your welcome and it's nice that my review was actually helpful! Yeah.... i should have analyzed the music sync more like to listen to the song in the level with headphones but i was lazy....... though next time make it less subtle plz? Since the wave part has good gameplay it's fine that the visuals aren't that good but some more block design would have been nice... Thanks for reviewing my review(?) and if you want me to explain you something in my review let me know!
