Hey Everyone i made one of my best levels so far and its called Ultra Speed its time is long. ID: 35890668 Off-Topic Info: This level took me a total of 6 months to build and I started it on the release of 2.1 a couple days after it. I dont have Video but i would have if i posted it to everyplay but sadly i forgot and that level was a nightmare so i dont want to redo it because of how much pain i went through of verifying it.

Hello ProxyPD! I am not a level judge at the moment but I would still like too review your level. [My Criteria Consists of Originality 33/100 Design 33/100 and Gameplay 34/100] Now lets get onto the judgement! Originality 33/33 Just like some reviews I do It's pretty original. Especially because you started it at the start of 2.1. I can never really say anything about the originality
Design 12/33 Sorry to burst your bubble but I really do not like the design because its too simple and(dont get mad at me) childish... the only thing I like about it(and the only thing keeping it from dropping to 0/33 is the custom background as it adds a nice feel too the level.
Gameplay 4/34 I know this is quite harsh but its not fun too play. overall I got annoyed with it after not even 2 minutes. sorry for such a short review. for how low and high it is it's hard to keep up with putting detail in when thats all I have too say. thank you for you time
Overall Score : 49/100 Which Means its in Decent Levels. My rating is *5

I Agree that it isnt fun, because its supposed to be hard and note that this was actually my first and only level i put a lot of effort in i even had to get people on discord to help me out and what i should add and it helped im not that good with deco and i dont want to trust someone if they steal my account and for my first actual decent level i'd say it's pretty good for my first level that i put quite a lot of effort into. I mean 6 Months of Making this Level is Quite Well for a level like that. I mean Do you think Demons are fun, No they arent that fun because they give you lots of stress when you die at 98 % (knobbleboy reference...).

I just personally thing the level is annoying and I dont have the time too full out beat it because it takes way too long too decorate. does that sum it up?

Pre-judging: Please provide the ID of the level next time you make a level and want it to be judged, because I couldn't find this level very easily. This is actually worsened because you didn't provide your IGN, which, for some people, is completely different from their Forum username. This is just a notice for the future. Edit: Also, one more thing. I know this level was reviewed already by meow. However, I'm also reviewing it because I have a much different opinion, and I don't agree with the majority of things K A M I said in his review.
Level Name: Ultra Speed Creator: ProxyPD ID: 32890668 My Rating: Hard 5* Requested Difficulty: Harder 7* Gameplay
General Um...that was certainly...gameplay. It doesn't look very clean, not to mention a couple of invisible speed portals in the Wave section. It just looks kind of rushed. There were some parts I liked, particularly the duals, but other than that, the gameplay is just...not really fun. It's also slightly annoying with a few pixel-perfect timings and even a straight-flying section. There, overall, isn't much variation in the gameplay.
Transitions The transitions in this level are incredibly basic and very unfinished, by what it looks like. It's mostly just jump pads without really anything special or memorable.
Synchronization Hmmmmmmmmmm.....the sync isn't very good, and I almost feel like you either knew it wasn't good or you didn't think I'd judge you on it. It just...doesn't work with the song. There's some blue jump pad spams when the song is relatively slow, and a minimal amount of movement when the song is fast. There isn't really a way to practice sync other than just making it so the jumps/parts where you don't jump kind of sound like the song.
Decoration
Colors Literally because of this level, I added a subcategory to my Decoration category: Colors. I can clearly see you went for a rainbow design, but it feels pretty excessive. This level's decoration seems to mainly rely on the fact that it uses the colors of the rainbow without any variety. Every now and then, there's a minor change that normally doesn't look very good, but other than that, it just seems pretty excessive.
Air Decoration The air decoration in this level feels extremely out of place. The colors don't go very well together and it just doesn't have a very good feel to it. I really think there were parts that could've been executed better. Examples: the faces on the jump orbs and the clouds and rainbow. However, they ended up just being there to make the level look better and, to some extent, kind of fail.
Block Designs The block designs in this level aren't very impressive either. They're pretty simple and basic, and they don't have very amazing colors. There isn't much else to say about these.
Art and Backgrounds Oh boy. The background is probably the worst thing about this level. It's really trying to be good and just like the air decoration, I feel like this could've been better executed, but it just...wasn't. I remember in one of Wimptastic's videos (if you've seen his channel) where he was judging a level. He said he didn't like the custom backgrounds because it was still possible to see the default background. There's also a sense of self-awareness there, because you changed the BG color at one point in the level from white to red. There's very few scenarios where the default background being visible works well in a level. Also, I know it's trying to be good because there's a lot of color changes. However, if the default background wasn't visible, then I probably would've liked this more.
Final Thoughts
Score I really feel the need to apologize. I don't think I was very harsh in this review, but if I was, I have some positive notes. I normally like to end on positive notes instead of combining them with the negative notes, by the way. Needs Improvement - 12/100
What Can Be Improved?- Make the default background invisible so the custom background looks better. You can make a background behind it, turn it black, etc.
- Remove the straight-flying segments. They give the level a vibe that makes it look more difficult then it is, while also adding some cancer to it.
- Make the colors less eye-catching. They draw attention away from the level by being really flashy, and in some cases, looking weird. For the triple spikes, make them the same color. I recommend Copy BG with an added hue. I'm not quite sure what the perfect added Hue is, but try some things out.
- Fix the sync. You might have to go as far as changing the entire gameplay and even the song if you want to achieve this, but it'll be worth it, trust me.
- Add some more original custom block designs. There's nothing special or original about using preset block designs. Change things up a little. Use default blocks as a base and build from there.
- Maybe try adding a title card? I'm not sure if you know how to use the text in the editor, but luckily, you don't have to! You can use 3D lines, decoration blocks (like the ones Manix648 uses), and change the colors so they make a rainbow effect. Just try to find something you like and build from there.
Optional things you could do that might help:- I really recommend watching some tutorial videos. They might inspire you, or just make you a better creator in general.
- Are there any other games you play with a level editor? Minecraft, Platform Racing 2, Super Mario Maker, just...something with an editor? If so, maybe you can apply the level of detail in those editors into GD. Think about the amount of detail Minecraft's blocks have. There's lots of different colors and variation in it that gives it a natural feel. This can be applied to GD as well: find out which blocks do and don't go well together, and try to make something of your own. Try using more than one style of block and multiple layers to really give your level some creative input.
