Hello, this guide will showcase some basic things to do to star grind Geometry Dash.
First of all, star grinding is gaining stars at an exceptionally fast rate compared to other players. The average star grinder can gain around 50-100 stars a day.
What Levels to Play
First of all, the levels you should play. You should beat all the non-demon official levels first since some have higher star wields than online demons. Try beating many older levels to start since older levels tend to be easier than newer levels. To find older levels, use the search filters with the difficulty and the star icon and then hit recent, and go to the end of it. The hazard of playing an old level though is that it may have broken in a certain update, making it unbeatable or very difficult. You should try to beat levels between 1-5 stars as these can be easier to 1 attempt, therefore increasing you star count quickly. If you want to attempt a 6-9 star level,inb4 someone says "lol you said 69" then practice may be necessary but not required. Practice mode helps people learn the layout and the gameplay of the level, so using practice mode with these levels may be helpful to beat it later in very few attempts. In my opinion, you should play the level in normal mode a couple of times to see if it needs to be played in practice. If you are making it very far in those couple of attempts, than practice mode won't be necessary (unless you are consistently dying at a part in the end. Then practice mode may be necessary). If you are getting consistently low percentages, then practice mode will be necessary.
Demons
Demons are, usually, the harder levels in the game and will usually take more effort (*cough* The Nightmare *cough*). Practice will always be necessary for a demon level, regardless of the difficulty. The level will take several attempts if you don't know the layout of the level. You should try and beat demons consistently since they do have the highest star wields of any online level. For you're first few demons, attempt easy ones to get you some demons under your belt. Also beat the official demons since the three of them have the highest star wields compared to any other level, deadlocked having the most with 15 stars. The hardest demons an average star grinder should be attempting are hard demons. Insane or extreme demons usually take up a lot of time, which is all that time spent without getting stars. If you do want to attempt one though, don't dedicate all you're time to it. Try getting a good haul of stars each day before playing it.
Bonus Stars
Nothing much to say about this. When you beat a level in the gauntlets, beat it again in the regular interface. It's basically doubling your stars. Same can be done with daily levels. You should also play map pack levels, as these give you more stars upon beating all the levels within it.
That's all! Give me some feedback on this guide as I plan to update it regularly.
