Hey guys, my friend is trying to re-enter their GD account after a long period of inactivity. They say they forget the password, and when trying to reset it on the account management page using the email they say is with the account, it says, "Username or email was incorrect !"
Then I went to the "Forgot username?" section, and when the email was sent containing the username linked with the account, it wasn't the one of my friend.
Could the email they used have possibly jumped from one username to another? (I don't know how this would be possible but it looks like it happened)
This is preventing me from resetting the password because the username and email of the account don't match. (Because it's being used with this other username)
Does this mean the account of my friend was stripped of an email? If the one they used to make it isn't working because it's with another username, what other email could be linked with this one?
It's all super confusing, please respond with any help.
PS: What does the "Invalid Email?" link on the Account Management page do? Thought I could try something there.

Interesting. What's your friends In-Game name? You could try the "Invalid Email" tab, but I'm honestly not sure what that does. It may be that his account was corrupted, but that's just what I'm thinking. If nothing works, my best thought would to just create a new account.
