crossbladeCreator: crossblade ID: 36228054 Level Name: Destination First notes: It looks like both SirHadoken and Rob Buck have seen this level so this may have already been sent but I will give you a review anyways. Also, sorry that you have to get such a late review. Review: Gameplay: 5/10: Honestly, the gameplay in this level could use some work. There's an auto part from about 13% to about 27% which is honestly too long for an auto part in this type of level. I understand the effort was to sync with the song but there are ways to do that without making an auto section. In my opinion this should at least be shortened and include some more exciting gameplay in this part. The rest of the level wasn't that much better in terms of gameplay. Most parts don't really have you do much which isn't necessarily terrible but there could be some more improvements made. Something I think you should try and refrain from doing is using repetitive, or spam clicking, with the gameplay. Some examples are near the beginning with the blue orbs and near the end with the green orbs. Also I don't recommend making the blocks turn black like that because it honestly makes the gameplay a little confusing. I understand I've been pretty negative so I'll try and give you some positive notes for gameplay. The beginning cube up until the auto part is kind of fun even with the spam click part. The ending cube/robot is also pretty fun too. However, overall this aspect of the level really needs some improvement since the gameplay isn't very exciting and has a lot of unnecessary auto parts. Design: 8/10: This aspect of the level was pretty good. The colors overall seemed to fit together nice and there was no bad contrast for any of the parts. In terms of block design, some parts in my opinion could use some more such as the first part, as well as the auto which doesn't have anything at all other than the black background. I really liked the logo for the level though. The red dashed line going to the X with the level name was honestly a really good way to introduce the level. However, after that the level really kind of stays around the same in terms of block design. It gets a little more complex later, but it's nothing special. The end has some good block design moments. The flashing blocks effect, while not very good for gameplay, is good for block design and it's honestly a little underused in the way you made it. Moving on the the air decoration, this seems to be a main focus of the level so I'll try and talk about it a lot. It certainly has a lot of air decoration, and, from what I understand, you added some more air decoration in an update around a month ago. This part of the level is pretty good but I would have liked to maybe see some more variety with the air decoration. Some of the parts, like the first parts, use basic clouds with no real flair to them. The air decoration isn't really elaborated on and it's more just some basic designs and isn't really anything special in my opinion. A part that I will say is one of my favorite air effects though is the wind part at the start of the drop. It honestly looked really cool and well made. I would have appreciated some more of these types of designs throughout the level, but on a smaller scale. Moving on the the custom backgrounds, there isn't really much to say. The very first one probably could have used the most work, as it's just 3 glow columns that move around. This background is shown throughout several parts of the level, which isn't a good thing. Some more variety with custom BGs would make the level a bit better. All in all though, you did a good job in the design aspect. Music Sync: 9/10: This part of the level is really good. This is definitely a main focus that it seems you put into the level. Many parts sync pretty nicely. Some featured points that sync well are the auto part at the beginning (the part I've been bashing at you about for like every other part of the review lol), the spider part, especially with the flashing blocks, the ending, and other parts. Some parts do need some improvement to their sync, such as the dual ball part. It could use some more variety rather than just sliding along and then tapping twice. Also, using the dash orbs to sync gets a little repetitive after a while. Regardless, this level has some really good sync. Personal Difficulty Rating (This will not influence your final score): 5-6 stars Overall: 22/30: GOOD: This level in my opinion is worthy of being placed in good. Although some of the design and sync elements are good, the thing that really brought you down was gameplay. If you make some better and less confusing gameplay in the future, I think you have a good shot of becoming known as a creator. In fact you've already begun the walk down the road to fame as you've been recognized by some famous players already! Level Judges move this to either good or sent. Some mods did play the level but they didn't actually say they sent it rather than just playing it and giving a positive compliment. (Also sorry for the necropost pls don't kill me)

(Also sorry for the necropost pls don't kill me) Necroposting is fine in the judging panel, as long as it's for a review. Review Approved! Nice and detailed, and I agree with your points, especially about the auto section. I enjoyed this level, but personally I believe the originality brought it down. Also, to the creator, while this is going to be put in Good, in my opinion I think this is a bit more high end. Just make it more original and remove the auto section and this level would be way better. Moving to Good Levels.
