So yeah, this is happening. From what I got from the video, Robtop, Viprin and presumably Etzer are collaborating and having the first official GD Creator Contest. Participants have to make a crystal themed level for the appropriately named Crystal Gauntlet. 5 winning levels will make up this gauntlet. If Viprin judges, all the levels will be laggy af and have impossible coins.
If RobTop judges, Torch121 and Berkoo will get the entire gauntlet to themselves.

Be prepared for a gauntlet of 1.9 crystal spam featuring levels by Berkoo and danolex. Enjoy the wide variety of levels as you explore levels that are too long and annoying to be in a gauntlet and have almost no theme to them.

I want to actually enter but i have like 10 other levels i haven't even finished 25% of the deco.
Plus if Serponge enters we're screwed.

Half of the levels that win will literally just have "crystal" in the name, use the song crystal corruption, or use a shitty ingame crystal-like object and will have nothing else related to crystals in it. I'd bet on it.

i like how, instead of cheering on robtop for interacting with the community, every instantly insults him because they think the contest will be biased. good fucking work guys... it's not even 1 day into the contest and you're acting like THIS.

To be honest, I'm pretty sure they're going to be a lot more strict with the entries since Originality is part of the judging. Hopefully, that means we won't get any generic or "crystal deco spam" levels in the top 5.
Also, it's really nice to see RobTop taking in community input again. At least he's not doing everything completely solo now.

Why are you people so pessimistic about this? Just because RobTop is a part of the contest, does it mean he will be biased or adding badly made levels to the gauntlets? Come on guys, give him a chance...
Good luck for everyone who enters this. I hope the levels will fit the theme and they'll be fun to play. I also heard from Viprin there will be like a second demon gauntlet. I am scared because I still didn't beat the first one. D:

If this is an official "GD" contest (meaning that everyone related to GD's community is involved) then they should try to accommodate it to other speakers as well, mainly Spanish speakers.
