First of all, GG on alphabet x . That's not why I'm here of course though so here are my reviews for the level: Gameplay: 8/10: The level is pretty fun and I enjoyed playing the level. The boss fight was slightly annoying since, when he fired the laser sometimes, the space for the fast moving wave was pretty tight. Also, the transition of that ship where it goes into the mini wave is annoying to time, since, if you hold for too long, even by a bit, you fly into your death. I'm glad you didn't make a completely symmetrical cube dual, as it made for some interesting gameplay. Design: 9/10: The level has good design throughout the levels and it keeps to the theme throughout the level. The part after the boss fight has especially good design. It looks very creative and it looks like thought was out in. The custom backgrounds in the level are well made and pretty creative. The boss fight could use some more design though. All you can really see is the boss and obstacles. There's a custom background but that's about it. Also, the level looks a little messy. There's just a lot of blocks throughout and in parts like the cube after the UFO, the blocks are just layering upon each other making it look a bit unorganized. Other than that, the level has great design. Effects: 8/10: The level has some pretty good effects as well. I like how you made the boss' mouth open whenever he shot a fireball, rather than just having it continuously move and hope the fire ball would come out at the right time. The effect based custom backgrounds were well made and has some good thought put into them. The spider/ball part where some blocks fall is well executed, as it doesn't cause for weird timing, but it's a nice element especially for the theme. The ending sort of looks like you copy pasted the stars though. The boss fight also lacks some effects other than the actual boss. Besides that, this level has some pretty good effects. Music Sync: 9/10: This level syncs up really well in many of the parts in the level. The second half has some great Sync throughout that whole part. The beginning syncs up pretty well too. The level flashes in tune to the song and has well syncing gameplay. However, that bossfight USB lacking in the Sync department. It flashes occasionally and sometimes the attacks Sync, but the gameplay doesn't really Sync. Besides that, the level has great Sync. Originality: (0/10 cuz red and black haha jk no) 7/10: This level is pretty original. The boss fight, despite looking a little bland, is pretty original. The mouth of the boss opening up each time it's about to spit a fireball is pretty original. The coin placement of the last coin is very creative, as you have to jump just right so that you get bumped, but not that much. The falling platforms are also pretty original. However, this level isn't revolutionary, but it has its qualities. Overall: 8/10: This level has some pretty original aspects as well as some great design and effects. The gameplay is fun and I liked the level. This level should go in either good or feature worthy.

First of all, I disagree with the outcome of this review overall, but I'll give you tips on how to make your reviews better. This review seems a bit short, try making it more detailed, if you talk about things in a more general point of view it gives next to little information to the creator on how to improve. This doesn't mean you have to write a whole essay (like I sometimes do), just keep things more descriptive, short reviews can be great, we sort of want them at this point, but it being short should not be an excuse for it not being detailed enough. Unfortunately, this level wasn't that fun, there was a lot of unexpected gameplay, like at 6%, the player has no idea it's going to shoot them upwards and it took me a long time before I to used to it. I agree with your notes on the boss section, it is very tight, but I like how it gave a warning for the lasers. I agree with your point on the mini wave transition, especially since it is unexpected. I definitely agree on your point with the asymmetrical dual cube, however this unfortunately caused a difficulty balancing issue, which was an overall issue for the level. The design in this level is not that good, first of all, the redness is pretty obnoxious, there are right and wrong ways to do singular hues, this unfortunately did it the wrong way, there was not much contrast, and it looked messy. This level seemed a bit too overdecorated in parts, and it made it hard to see, especially when combined with the colors, which also impacted the gameplay. However, other parts, like the bossfight, seemed a bit too underdecorated, as you said, which I completely agree on your point. Also, the custom backgrounds were dull in my opinion, some parts had barely anything. I completely agree on your point about it being messy. Also, I really like the last section in this level, it's sort of empty, but it looks pretty good. I think you had good points in this section, but I think you gave it too much of a high score. I agree on your point on the boss, very important to make it sync up. I partially agree on your point about the falling blocks, however it can trip people up. I suggest you combine this section with design as it is overall part of it and not all levels have to have effects. I definitely agree on your description of the sync, except I thought the beginning was a bit lacking. Unfortunately, this level is not original. It uses the big beast as the boss, which is a huge red flag, and the attacks are unoriginal, and its mouth opening is expected of the creator now that there's a whole trigger made for it. This level gave me an early 2.0 feel, unfortunately. Due to these reasons, I'd say this belongs in High-end Decent.I see you've been making a lot of reviews lately, I'll get to looking over them soon, but I felt I should just have one thread giving my full opinion so you could improve your future reviews. I probably won't write something as detailed next time.
