In a poll, you either decide one thing or another. You don't just go 50/50 and pick an answer with zero point or use. Removing 'it depends' answers will force more people to make a decision. This can also be beneficial in real life so people can learn to make them. I didn't know where to put this thread so here it goes.

No, because what if the idea has pros and cons?

Well, its the OP's decision on whether he wants to allow "It Depends" answers there or not. Its the OP's fault anyways because they were the ones who put it there.

They might not vote anymore if they're unsure

If there is no "It depends" or "Other" option the people who aren't completely polarized have no way to show themselves in the poll. Yeah, they could reply to the thread, but if there's no option in the poll they are not represented in the data.
This is actually pretty important in more serious polls, because if you force people into a decision you are ignoring the fact that not every person is going to be completely in agreement with the option. An "Other" type response allows the respondent to voice why they can't stick with one side or another.

it really depends on the person who's collecting the data to determine whether they want people to have that option.
some people don't mind getting feedback that consists of "it depends",meanwhile others don't. if they don't want people to give that as an answer then they most likely wouldn't give it them as a choice.
