Let's say you want to become a demon hunter, but you haven't beat any demons and don't know where to start. Here's a method to climbing the ladder of demons where you start off easy, and work your way up!
Easy Tiers: I, II and III
Medium Tiers: IV and V
Hard Tiers: VI and VII
Pro Tiers: VIII and IX
Legendary Tier: X
Tier I: So you want to become the next GD pro? Well, everyone has to start out somewhere. Here are the very first demons people should play. These demons are extremely easy, and help you get a feel for what you are getting into.
Some Tier I Demons include:
The Nightmare
The Lightning Road
yStep
Demon Mixed
xStep v2
Tier II: This may be a starting point for you if you feel very confident in your abilities. Tier II demons are still very easy, but they require slightly more effort.
Some Tier II Demons Include:
Atlas
Radioactive Demon
Ice of Dawn
Clutterfunk v2
Lights and Thunder
Tier III: This is where you can get introduced to modernish demons. In general, later updates have higher difficulty benchmarks to warrant a demon, so these levels are still easy, but not recommended to try unless you have a few demons under your belt.
Some Tier III Demons Include:
Decode
Problematic
X
Insomnia
Motion
Tier IV: Welcome to the medium demon tiers! These tiers are for people who have beat a few tier II and III demons with relative ease. These demons are more intense and require a decent amount of skill to beat, without being overwhelming.
Some Tier IV Demons Include:
Death Step
Jawbreaker
Foxtrox
Bionic Button
Toxic Sewers
Tier V: Here is where it gets really challenging. Tier V is a make it or break it point where people want to be demon hunters are not. These demons require a decent amount of skill, and are challenging even for decent players.
Some Tier V Demons Include:
Nine Circles
Clubstep v2
Theory of Firepower
Rebellion
Spacelocked
Tier VI: These are benchmark demons for pros, almost a right of passage to begin the true journey for being a pro GD player. These levels require a great amount of skill with a lot of timing. Intense practice is needed from this point forward.
Some Tier VI Demons Include:
Poltergeist
Supersonic
Windy Landscape
Stalemate
HI
Tier VII: If anyone has gotten this far, it is fair to say that you are at least a semi-pro at GD. These demons require immense training and very difficult timing. These levels are challenging even for pro GD players.
Some Tier VII Demons Include:
Deadlocked v3
8o
Falling Up
Ultrasonic
Luminum
Tier VIII: You have entered pro territory! Congratulations, from this point forward, you will be facing insane and extreme demons if you want to improve your status. These levels are not for the feint of heart.
Some Tier VIII Demons Include:
Retention
Valor
Galatic Fragility
Necropolis

Some Tier IX Demons Include:
Cataclysm
Red World Rebirth
A Bizarre Phantasm
The Ultimate Phase
