In the gif in my signature, I have tried resizing it using the [ img=###x### ] tag, but it doesn't work. how else would I do it? Any help would be appreciated.

Just type this in your signature:
[img src="<image URL>" height="<height>"]
Where <image URL> is the URL of the image, and <height> is the height of the resized image you want it pixels.
You don't need to type in the width, as the image can auto resize based on the height of the image.
