I'm working on a level (it's probably my best) and I want feedback on it. I haven't finished it, but I uploaded a preview of it and want feedback on that segment (pretty short). If you have time, can you play it and give feedback in the comments section? Thanks.
ID: 30804906 It's called Preview.

Pros: Good parallax effect. Like the orb/portal designs Need to work on: The colors don't mix well - ground and BG are different colors, background deco doesn't blend in, etc. Never use the player color, it makes the level ugly. I'd recommend removing the black spikes and just adding colorful saws down there. The clouds need a color, the saws in the air need a design. Stick to one or two colors at most, make the background deco darker shades of your primary color, not white/gray (make the ground this color too). The designs are two simple and need to be improved, mix blocks, add 3D lines, and add tiny details to make it look more complicated. Add more decorations in general. Well I hope this helps, good luck (basically just work on the colors and designs)

Don't worry, creating is hard xD sorry if the post came out a bit harsh since that wasn't my intent, but once you fix it up it'll probably be feature worthy.

Don't worry, when giving advice it's good to be harsh. Every opinion is helpful and everything you're telling me seems to make it look nicer. Also, what do you think I should do for the saws in the air? Make them seem to be hanging from something?

Thanks for the compliment, but I don't believe that maturity should be associated with post count.

Agreed, and the people with high post counts are usually the most immature lmao (I was when I first joined this site). Anyways, you can add regular block structures at the top that can cover the saws/fill empty spaces (these are purely for decoration, the player won't interact with them). If you want an open spaced level add more stuff to the background so it feels more full.

Do you think you could possibly give me feedback on what I changed and other parts of the level? Reply if you think you have time to do this too.

Ofc bro, just tell me when it's ready. Ok, I uploaded what it is currently as a level called 141414 and ID 31031443. Parts that seem empty are still being worked on. Wow now it looks a lot better.. GJ It's obvious you have great ideas, you're gonna turn out to be a great creator. Pros: Very original! I like it so far. Colors corrected in the intro and it looks a lot nicer now. Saws are designed nicely and fit in well. Improve on: It still looks a bit empty, I would try adding some pulsating decorations (like the arrows). This also makes the gameplay easier to follow. The color can be the same as the orbs/portals Ground 2's color is a little too dark, make it brighter! Also Ground 1 kind of sticks out too much w/ white, make it a color a little darker than Ground 2. Notice how all the objects are outlined in white? (This is called the 'object' color). I think it'll look better if you make it a color brighter than the background. The background in the second section needs blending and opacity, so it doesn't drown the foreground.
