A lot of people ask, how does RobTop notice my levels? What do I have to do for my level to get rated? Here is the journey of a random level and the road to becoming a rated level.
Tier 1: The N/A Rating
There are currently over 9 million user created levels. About 99% of those levels are rated N/A meaning there are not enough ratings for the level to be given a face value instead of the blank gray face. Every level starts out like this and it is the most common level rating in the game.
Tier 2: Player Rated Levels
Let's say your level was good enough to be noticed by a few people and a bunch of fellow players rated it a face value. Let's say the face value was the yellow face labeled "Hard". That means other players took time to rate and possibly like your level. Most people are satisfied with this tier but those creators who aim higher want more than just a Player Rated Level.
Tier 3: Trending Player Rated Levels
So let's say that your player rated level got noticed by lots of fellow players and even though your level isn't starred (Yet), you still somehow have thousands of plays. Your level is put on the trending button for exactly one week (Seven Days) which allows more players to look for levels that have a decent chance of getting rated in the future.
*Tier 4*: The Starred Level
Congratulations! Your level did not go unnoticed by RobTop and he thought your level was pretty good. Good enough to give you stars. A starred level adds 1 Creator Point to your profile and a star value under the level. Almost all creators will be satisfied with a starred level but there are a few that want to aim even higher. A Starred level also indicates that even though you did a good job, there still is room for improvement.
*Tier 5*: The Featured Level
Only the elite and advanced creators have to honor of creating these levels. These levels indicate that it did not go unnoticed by RobTop and he really liked your level. A featured level usually has lots of decorations, great gameplay, etc. You can tell the difference between a regular starred level and a featured level by seeing if there is a gold outline around the face value. A featured level adds 2 Creator Points to your profile. Featured levels can be demoted due to secret ways and/or copyright.
**Tier 6**: The Map Pack Level
Let's say RobTop really, really loved your level. There is a chance that your level can be put in a map packed where the best of the best levels are kept. If you manage to have a map pack level, that level is essentially immortalized into Geometry Dash. Pretty much one of the highest honors a creator can achieve next to being in the top 100 creators.
***Tier 7***: The Lucky Level
You happened to upload a decent level at the exact same time RobTop was looking at levels and you basically got to skip tiers 2 and 3. Congrats?
