My 60hz monitor has 1ms input delay and it makes literrally no difference smh Basically, the physics change because of the higher frames per second you get, making it ALOT easier to fly well. Well it does make a difference, you have an advantage over players using monitors with high input lag (most have 10-15ms delays). It was easier for me to play GD on an old 75hz monitor with 10+ms input delay.

Lmao, it seems like nobody in this thread has ever used a 144hz monitor due to the ignorant and rude responses. Technical Difference: A higher refresh rate means it cycles through frames faster per second. A good example would be a camera taking 60 pictures in a second, vs a camera that takes 144 pictures per second, the 144 pictures per second would be much smoother than the 60 pictures. Gameplay differences: (rant for a bit) This is where people get confused and asshole-ish about hz rates. First of all, it doesn't make the game "easy mode" or "auto". That's narrow-minded and to anybody who uses 144hz thinks its the most retarded thing ever, and not only because its an insult, its an insult with no backup evidence besides "den hocum ppl wit 144hz are de unly ppl whu bet bludbat?" like honestly people who say this seem completely dense and retarded to those who have actually experienced a 144hz monitor. On the actual gameplay differences, all it really does is make flying easier, I'd even argue that it makes things like spamming and timing harder, especially if you were practicing a level with 60hz and transitioned into 144hz. Before you dismiss me remember, I use 144hz, if you don't believe me, here is a screenshot to prove it with a wallpaper that only I have access to. prntscr.com/edoub3 Completely unrelated but TITAN Z BRUHHHH

but what do you mean by the levels become autos It's a joke. Nothing becomes auto, but gameplay in general gets a lot easier since the time it takes from your input for the screen to respond is faster and more consistent. It affects all gamemodes, but affects ship the most because of its physics.

Having 144hz is kind of like having your icon hitboxes decrease by 5%. It doesn't matter much unless you're playing an extreme demon

how fast the screen refreshes.

There's more accuracy with 144 Hz. The auto stuff is jokes.

It was easier for me to play GD on an old 75hz monitor with 10+ms input delay. That doesn't mean that delay makes no difference at all, if you compare two monitors w/ the same refresh rate it'd be easier to play on the one with the lowest delay.

The Ship feels "lighter" and easier to control and things like spamming are easier for some reason. The lower input delay doesn't really help and is actually annoying at first

Obviously it would be a tiny bit easier depending on the difference, but the point I'm trying to make is that the actually fps that you get is what makes the bigger difference.

Response time doesn't have much of an effect. Trust me, my 60hz monitor is 1ms. It is? Well then, the only other thing I can think of is it has a higher fps. How does monitor FPS impact the game exactly?

is a 60hz monitor with 1ms delay time equivalent to a 144hz monitor?
