I'm gettin' too old for this...
*cough* *cough*
Gameplay 3.9/5
If I had to use two words to descirble the entirety of gameplay, they would be "good enough".
Have it's rises, have it's falls but it's pretty enjoyable piece of work. Especially exposition of (most) key elements of gameplay.
But now it's time for describing flaws and I found a few here.:
-The first one is usage of the animation to point where should I land after using dash orb. Where is my problem? Well it's the usage of this animation to point my landing zone even when you used a "S" stopper (or whatever it's called). Dash orbs with "S" are mixing with those without "S", which is pretty confusing.
-The second one are less visible portals. Maybe they aren't invisible but still treating them with aplha trigger can make them blend in each other.
-The third one are useless move triggers at ball and spider parts. Just... Why?
-The last one are bugs at 20% and 62%. Believe me or not but I managed to avoid size portal there and progress, while being (Bigger UFO | smaller wave/darth).
Music synchronisation was neat. I liked those little sudden changes of gameplay's speed just to point out unusual music's sounds. Nice detail.
(Block) Design 1.8/2.5
I noticed "differences" between parts but not exactly. The only things that has been changing throughout all block design were elements. It wasn't hard to spot the same 2 schemes all around. One of them is a "puzzle connected" scheme and a second one is a "similiar looking blocks with cover on top". At least you tried to hide it with interactive triggers. I'll give you that. That was clever.
Decorations 1.9/2.5
They definitely have their power in custom backgrounds. What I liked the most was how everything had it's place. No messy glowing or "blending with everything" bullshit. All decorations were matching their parts very well. However the swarm of clouds was incredible. I know they're easy to use but give them sometimes a break. And I think here was also the same "scheme" issue as with design.
Summary: 7.6/10
I see some (maybe more?) efforts have been put into creating this. I see a bunch of kiddos, who would call this "generic" but to be honest I quite liked this "generic" level.
I played it.
I enjoyed it.
I do not regret...
