RP games because Fire Emblem and Pokemon are the best tbh. Also puzzle games are fun

adventure is probably my favourite, find story heavy games interesting and enjoy following them, but sim games are also fun when you just want to relax and play something simple

I prefer the sports genre of video games. I'm assuming Mario Kart 8 could technically be in this category since it's racing which is a sport. Although that may be a stretch, lol. I also play the college football games just because I prefer the recruitment aspects. The professional football games don't have that. Hockey games are also fun, but I do prefer football games despite hockey being my favorite sport. Fun fact, lol.

Ever since I was young I always leaned toward RPGs bc I loved stories and exploration, plus I didn't mind grinding for things (even though I don't really have the time to do that now); if I only had my tablet on me I'd play a ton of Minecraft, Clash of Clans, and of course GD. I don't really play any of those games anymore but it's fun to look back on the good times even if they're bittersweet. That being said, I have been enjoying chess every now and then, but I'm not very good at it yet since the strategy part hasn't completely clicked. Maybe I should train over the summer lol |

I've been mainly playing card-like games for the past couple years, like Hanabi, riichi mahjong and Dominion. I also enjoy a good visual novel (most recently Steins;Gate) or strategy/roguelike game (most recently Darkest Dungeon II), but I haven't gotten really into one for a while.
My favourite games are definitely in the visual novel category, but my favourite genre would have to be strategy.
