This dude is freaking pathetic. Removing the game isn't a solution, it's just ruining someone's work, especially RobTop's.
It's not the fault of the game that people are submitting illegal or copyright songs, it's just the matter of some stupid people. But I hate when people keep generalizing the problems. If the NG staff is going to act like that, I'll lost the respect to them, because it's just going the "easy way". No compromise, just an egoistic way to remove the issue off Newgrounds.
I understand that they are sick of people not reading the rules, but trying to get rid of the game is the worst and most radical way to change it. Why not just catch RobTop and tell him to do something with this? Maybe he would put something to discourage people from stealing used songs. Who knows?

Geometry Dash has a lot of problems both community and game-wise and just like GoodSmile said this is mostly Robtop's fault. Most of what i think has been stated before by Vitesse's thread but i'll add some more things into it.
Robtop is probably the most imcompetent developer i've ever seen. He doesn't seems to understand the concept of a "polished" game and going into a famous player's stream certainly isn't good communication. Things would have been much better if the game wasn't targeted to kids and didn't went into the scope of being a casual game.
Of course, songs would have still being stolen but definitely not at a scale as big as it is right now. Maybe if people with an acttitude similar to that of skellter and goldenzdude weren't into this community maybe Xtrullor would have appreciated the attention he got thanks to GD as the community wouldn't have been known for being cancerous...Unfortunately this game didn't had the luck of many succesful indie games that get recognized and don't get this kind of hate.
Its not people like Aurorus that are destroying this game. Its the kids that take this game too seriously and contaminated it just like Minecraft. Newgrounds's decision wasn't the best but hopefully it might change things here.

Oh god... I feel sorry to people who want to download Geometry Dash on the App Store/Steam Store.
I guess we just have to wait. Maybe this is just an error. Hopefully things will be back up very quickly.
You may think that Geometry Dash is officially ending soon. But hey! Let's have a positive thinking and hope that petition is really fake and didn't actually have any power to take down GD from the stores.
