I noticed a lot of threads being made about certain bugs/oversights in 2.1, so I decided to try to combine everything into one thread to avoid clutter and make it easier for RobTop to notice them (in case he ever checks). :/
Feel free to suggest anything else you feel is missing from this list, or to confirm an unconfirmed bug by giving a screenshot or confirming a second occurrence.
GAME- RELATED
- Incorrect spider eye texture [link]
- Incorrect robot texture [link]
- Nonexistent icon/colour messages (2nd page, 3rd line)
- Missing tons of help box texts
- Game occasionally turns black/crashes while trying to exit daily level/quests screen
Clicking somewhere the game recognizes (in this case, the Quests button or the back button) will cause the game to refresh its screen and return to normal. However, you only have a few seconds before the game catches itself and crashes.
- Game occasionally turns black/crashes while trying to talk to the guy in the basement
Clicking somewhere the game recognizes (in this case, the coloured keyholes) will cause the game to refresh its screen and return to normal. However, you only have a few seconds before the game catches itself and crashes.
- Game occasionally crashes during death or orb/diamond animations
Turning off Record occasionally fixes the problem.
- Upside-down mini spider texture flips when entering a grow/shrink portal, although it functions properly [link]
- Game occasionally starts lagging and eventually crashes
- The description of "Disable High Object Alert" and "Disable Play Object Alert" have the same meaning
- Saved levels don't update properly
- Unlisted levels cannot be found by their ID nor found in Created Levels, making them completely invisible.
- People who linked to GDW before RobTop removed linking now have 30 more coins, but it displays your real amount and gives you the icons
- Scrolling left in the secret shop makes the items disappear until you scroll right again
- Chest timers occasionally break and display wrong times
- Chests occasionally give negative shards/diamonds
- You can sometimes get two 24hr chests per day
- Some of the achievements are in the wrong order
- Tapping before hitting an orb on a surface after hitting a pad will still teleport you to the floor rather than having you hit the orb
CREATOR- RELATED
- J block only functions while upside-down
- Playtesting occasionally causes the editor to enter a partial Preview Mode (e.g. the background and ground gain color, and some object will gain alpha and/or toggled if attached to it, other things remain the same)
Dying will sometimes bring the editor back out of Preview Mode.
- "Substract count" typo in the Edit Special- Pickup Item menu of the mini coin [link]
- Start Pos lags heavily
Turning on Smooth Fix occasionally reduces the lag
- Portal textures break when you try to rotate them
- The 2.1 Slopes are in the Blocks tab
- Music sync is occasionally thrown off when playtesting
- Moving a Shake Trigger left/right occasionally ruins other neighbouring (and its own) effect lines
- Objects sometimes rotate around themselves during a Rotate Trigger [link]
- Edit Special has no function when selecting multiple orbs- except for black orbs, in which the Customize Rotation screen pops up instead.
PLAYER- RELATED
- 2.1 levels aren't playable with Low Detail Mode
- Daily level doesn't count as the actual level, allowing you to beat the level twice
- Practice checkpoints are placed too late- holding down causes the auto checkpoint to jump right after spawning
- Quick checkpoints is locked on
- Teleporting directly into a spider portal off-screen causes the gamemode to lose its ceiling and ground. The camera will also stop following and switching will cause the spider to land on an invisible wall which acts as a ceiling.
- Black orb functions as a yellow orb when upside down for UFO and ship [link]
- "The Challenge" is occasionally unlockable with under 200 diamonds
- Some levels exit as soon as you beat them
Refreshing the level may fix this.
- When exiting Scratch's shop, the second vault's theme plays instead of the first one's
- 4X speed breaks some slope physics [link]
- Custom death effects don't show up in Practice Mode
- Dashed trail gets progressively shorter in ball sections [link]
- Using a dash orb in ship or UFO removes the trail [link]
Unconfirmed problems:
- Unlocking a colour did not remove the lock until game restart
- When on a moving platform you will sometimes get launched into the air for no reason
- Duplicate shards/orbs/diamonds by loading 2.1 data, saving, unlinking, logging in, then saving
- A wave unlocked from chest is locked in the Customize Player's Wave section, but is still usable
- Game eventually crashes while failing to update level
- Trying to open Player Leaderboards while downloading song will cause game to crash after song finishes downloading
- Orbs don't give keys until game restart
- 2-Player mode checkpoints spawn at Player 1's position
- Cannot customize rotation of black orbs on mobile
- Cannot customize rotation of green orbs
- Beating Frontlines and Monster Dance Off don't give you the icons they did in GDW
- Some levels will load but won't let you play
- Tapping at the very start of a level in spider mode causes the spider to go on the ceiling and its colours to switch to blue and white.
- Exiting the challenge causes the menu song to play in the second vault.
- Using "Enable Trail" on spider shows the trail for the last unlockable spider, not the current one
- Using a Move trigger on Animated monsters that are off-screen freezes them
- Character turns white after using a dash orb
- No levels load when searching for a custom song without providing an ID
Possible problems:
- Orb hitboxes (priorities?) are changed
- H block doesn't affect the ground
- Colour locks are now gray
- Spider hitbox is small enough to go between spikes, like the wave
- Completed Levels statistic doesn't count GDW levels
- The spider portal isn't next to all the other gamemode portals in the editor
- 300 UC spider and 60 lava shards spider have three arms and one leg
- Edit Object does nothing when highlighting more than one Shake Trigger
