The idea is simple. Take the oldest completed level of yours that you still have access to and remake it to fit newer standards.
Anyone can enter, no sign up required. However, it would be nice if you could post here if you plan on entering.
Rules:1. You must have BOTH the original level and the remake uploaded so I can compare them.
2. The level must be long or XL length. (You must extend the level if the original does not meet that requirement)
3. You may change the gameplay but keep it somewhat similar.
4. You must keep the song the same (unless you use a remix that syncs just as well)
5. Include "for Rexone's CC" in the description.
6. You must post the IDs in this thread. It is also recommended that you post your IGN.
7. No NC levels. If your first level was an NC level, choose a different one.Difficulty:It can range from 4 to 7 without a video.
It can range from 4 to 10 with a video.If you do not follow all of the above rules you will be disqualified. Criteria:1. Gameplay (/10): transitions, flow, sync, fairness
2. Design (/10): colors, air/ground deco, effects (if used), block design
3. Originality (multiplier, 0.80 to 1.10): style, new ideas
4. Variety (/5)
5. Similarity (/5) to the original level
6. Improvement (/5) from the original level
Overall: Highest score is 35, but originality multipler can go over this

The deadline is March 4th, so you have plenty of time to get this done and perfect it as much as possible.
Extra time will be given if you need it, but only a few days.
Results will most likely be out about a week later, depending on how many entries I get. The top 3 entries will be uploaded in one video to my YouTube channel. The entire leaderboard will be posted separately in this thread.

If parts of the gameplay are really buggy and/or suck, can I completely remake that part? Try to fix up the bugs/improve it without changing the gameplay too drastically, but if you really can't do that then just make sure you keep the same game-mode and general movement.

If the original level isn't currently uploaded, then just make sure you reupload it when the time comes for judging. Spam some blocks out of view if the object count is too low for it to stay on the server |

Does it have to be my very first? I want to do my 5th level because I don't want to work on the 4th, 3rd is a reupload of the 2nd, it's impossible to remake the second one and the first one has 60 seconds of trash gameplay.
My 5th level is XL. Is this allowed? It says long only, but I need clarification if you mean at least or only.
NOTE: My entry will have the original on a DIFFERENT account because I moved accounts. Is this ok?

Is this ok? As long as your 5th isn't too current, then sure. XL is allowed, I should probably clarify that in the rules. Yes it is ok if the original is on a different account, just maybe give the IGN of it so I can be sure I have the right level. |
