'Midnight rain', the name itself gives off the feel of a dark, sinister, dreary, yet oddly exciting rush that the player can't help but force theirselves into playing, just to satisfy the sheer curiosity resonating within them. Right from the start I'm greeted with a light falling drizzle, sprinkling the character, but not interfering with the obstacles at hand, it was such a good touch, especially for a level that promised me such sensations, the only problem being it couldn't deliver. Beside the rain, which was monothematic in and of itself, nothing popped out, however, the player is greeted to a background appearing as if it was mostly frozen in time, unable to show them the true potential of the level they were playing. Sadly, this seemed to be the case throughout the level's entirety. Granted, there are exceptions to every claim; throughout the wave part I found myself constantly having to readjust myself to prevent the imminent obstacles I was predestined to encounter, distracted by the pulsing manner of the obstacles themselves, while Also finding myself critically analyzing the apparently good choice of color scheme that you had chosen specifically for that section. The following UFO part placed and iron cast for your level's conclusion, showing off your best skills as a creator on your canvas of a level, that is, however, until you are greeted with the ending sun... From the robot section at 58% I know that you have the capabilities to produce at least semi-circular objects, but the sun, with its jagged edges and uneven color scheme gave off the allusion that this section of the level was rushed. I felt as if you would have spent a bit more time on the level as a whole- make some of the backround objects move, put some variation in the size and color of your raindrops, contrast your trails, put a little twinkle in your stars, round off some of your circular edges, and spicing up your gameplay- that you could've produced something that would have received a much higher score in my book. As far as gameplay goes it wasn't too bad, but I found myself dozing off throughout most of the level, or flat out getting fustrated by the objects suddenly appearing in my face. And I found myself perplexed as I encountered a bug at 47%, thus allowing me to phase through the robot portal. Gameplay: 7/10 -1 for 47% bug (should be easily fixed by placing an obstacle above the portal) -2 for obstacle bugs (fix with easing or locking the objs. In place) Decoration: 4/10 -4 for lack of vital 2.0 aspects throughout the level. (Use move, pulse and toggle triggers. Spice it up, pit some AWE in your levels.) -2 for half done decoration (spend more time on your Deco, don't make circular objects appear so polygonal) Concept: 5/10 -5 nothing original was brought to the table, a bland gameplay elevates this deduction by 1 ( put some of your own style in there. Everyone knows who ozpectro and woogi are just by their Deco styles find your own unique style to roll with) ((G(1.15)+D(1.20)+C(.95))/3=R R/10= final rating Final rating: 6.183/10 Placement: decent/ needs improvement With all this said, you level isn't a bad one. It's a stepping stone. If you took anything from this review I hope it was that your level-building skills will get better as you learn and that levels take time. As I said I was memorized on several occasions throughout your level. You job as a creator is to bring that sense of awe throughout your whole level. I really hope to see you back on this sub-board again with a new level that will impress everyone.

Well, i thinks this is not a bad level at all. The name "midnight name" intrigues me and gives me a feeling of slow, calm levels. The first part of the level is good, which the rain falling down, is a good background effect. There are also adequate decorations. The ship segment, in my opinion, needs some improvement. I died a lot on 17% as there is no warning before all the obstacles could appear. Also, the placement could be better if there is ~1 block less tight spacing. The ball segment is not bad, the spirals together with the I dunno what it calls square, again creates the calm feeling. The orbs are also with different designs, which is good and could be improved in other parts. The robot segment is not bad, but I dunno what the bubble actually does with the level. It is somehow not constant for the style. The wave segment is not bad, for both the background design and the gameplay, though in block designs could be added. The design of the ufo part is good, but the sudden stop of the obstacles somehow does not fit the feeling of the slow, calm level. Also, one thing I think could be improved is that everything could be turned black at the very end of the level when words like -Please like and Rate- appeared.
Overall comments: While this is a decent level with good gameplay and adequate decorations, more 2.0 features such as in block designs and more background deco could be added. I would give it a 6.5/10. It takes time to improve level building skillz and I hope to see you again soon on the boards. NEVER GIVE UP!! xd

However, that's a flaw in your level; Using all these 'expensive' words in a review might not work out. Most of the GD community is not that old, as far as i know. People can have hard time understanding your review, and it was already hard for me. But it's not too bad of a review. It's very nice detailed, and you take every aspect into it. However, I couldn't figure out how this level was not original according to you, yet you gave 5/10. < explain that (in your upcoming reviews) Moving to Decent
