2. An optical illusion. This option seems more likely to me. No matter what you do, your brain will pay attention to one ship more (even slightly) than the other. When your brain registers the other ship out of your peripheral vision, it sees it going in the exact opposite direction. Using it as a relative point, it can skew your perception of the other ship's speed, making them both seem slower. nop, the dual ship is definitely heavier

Are you guys sure the upside-down ship is heavier? I've NEVER felt any difference between upside-down and regular, yes I ALWAYS feel the difference between dual and non-dual. It boggles my mind how people can play this game for years and still not notice this. I noticed it the first time I played jumper. But yeah, play jumper upside down, it's EXTREMELY noticeable

I double checked, the terminal velocity is equivalent, but the acceleration is slightly higher. Also, although I understand the main idea of saying "heavier". The ship is not heavier. I'm pretty sure geometry dash doesn't calculate air resistance. Even so, the ship still flies up at the same speed, instead of slower. This means dual/upside down ship is actually easier, because it moves down faster but moves up at the same speed as before.

Exactly. The ship is going down, when you stop to click, more faster, and for a really small time when you start to click, it also needs a bit more time to react. Or something like that it feels :v

I feel it as well. Lets Bounce, old Fexty, pretty much every level with a fast dual ship has this effect, on me at least. Mini dual ships are even heavier, which makes no sense.

I have been playing this game for 3 years now and I just noticed it a week ago, when I made a level and then turned my phone upside down for some reason XD

Are you saying that the upside-down ship falls faster than the regular ship although the terminal velocity is the same? I don't quite understand. What about comparing them pulling out of dives? That's the main reason I feel that the upside-down one is heavier- when it falls and I try to pull it up, it feels like it creates a much larger curve than if it were right-side up and pulling out of a dive.

What it means is the upside-down ship accelerates to peak velocity faster, but the actual peak velocity is the same as the other ships. I'm not sure in terms of pulling out of a dive. Unless the ship is really heavier, pulling out of a dive should be the same. However, you will be going into a full dive faster with an upside-down or dual ship.

The dual ship takes the weight of the upside-down ship. The upside down ship is also heavier. I tought I was the only one noticing.

Are you guys sure the upside-down ship is heavier? I've NEVER felt any difference between upside-down and regular, yes I ALWAYS feel the difference between dual and non-dual. You can tell the difference by locking screen rotation on mobile and trying to play Jumper or Time Machine upside-down, for example. Are you guys sure the upside-down ship is heavier? But yeah, play jumper upside down, it's EXTREMELY noticeable I just tried this and holy crap. How did I never feel this before. It's so obvious once you flip the screen... is it intentional that the upside-down is heavier, or is it just the result of weird physics? If it's intentional then why?

I always thought upside-down and dual ships being heavier was just an optical illusion. I never knew that they were actually heavier in the game's physics.
I tested it out for myself the same way Kripy did and sure enough, the upside-down and dual ship fall slightly faster than the normal ship.

This was 2 1/2 years ago XD. I mean, how could you NOT notice? Don't you mess around with the game? Or is it just me?

Idk For me, wave seems to go up and down faster too in dual mode. the wave moves along with the stage speed so that's impossible btw I knew from a long time ago that upside and dual ships were heavier, it seems stupid at first but then it's obvious, I did a test and it's not just an illusion

I always noticed the "heaviness" with dual ships, but I didn't know it also affected upside-down ships.
