Nice to see you back on this board Zoro, on behalf of all the level judges I would like to thank you for your patience.
Gameplay
I'll start by saying this: even though the level was a concept level, the game play was still phenomenal, as synchronization was on point and the level flowed smoothly at every transition and click. Granted, there were some parts that took some getting used to (e.g. the cube part after the color switch part and the, what I'm gonna call "Switchboard" part after the cube part), but after a couple tries I managed to get the rhythm of the level, with exception to the switchboard and ship part, which hindered the constancy of the level's gameplay, being a buff in difficulty.
With that said there weren't a lot of bugs that I noticed that I didn't intentionally force (the transition from the color switch part can be broken with a perfectly timed tap, although you are just flung through the ceiling).
Personal notes:
-choice to start the level in mirrored mode offered a good change to even traditional concept levels.
Gameplay score: 8/10
-1 for miscellaneous bugs
-1 for difficulty shifts
Decoration
The decoration throughout the level was even more phenomenal then the gameplay! I must say that there was only one point in the level where I felt as if the decoration in the level was lacking and even that was in a transition part (transition from color switch part) where the player was stuck floating in a black screen for about a second or two, in all honesty it wore off the visual illusions of the level for a bit.
Despite this minor mistake decoration continues to stay extraordinary throughout the rest of the level, never really leaving anymore spaces for the plain background to expose itself.
Personal notes:
-I'm still taken aback by the helix part from the beginning
-the decoration syncs great with the music throughout the level
-no part of the level overuses a decoration method
Decoration score: 9/10
-1 for empty transition area
Concept
Wow. The different game play and effect aspects throughout the level really give the level a sense of uniqueness, where the player is constantly emerged in a type of level that you normally wouldn't get to experience in GD. there's only one thing in this category that I have a problem with: the switchboard, as we've seen this exact effect used by funnygame and others many times.
personal notes:
Still can't get over that mini ship part (Too good)
Concept score: 9/10
+4/10 to base 5/10 for extraordinary gameplay mechanics and design methods
Synchronization
every aspect of the level harmonizes, the gameplay, decoration, and movements are fluid and resonate with the level. this does not change throughout the level until you get to the mini ship part, where the synchronization is a bit weird to say the least.
personal notes:
-none
Synchronization score: 8/10
-1 for sync offset at mini ship part
-1 for floating in air after color switch part (no sync there)
Final score:
((G+D+C+S)10)/4=R
R/10=Final score
Final score: 8.5/10Moving to: FEATURE WORTHY
Zoro, your skills in building keep improving, keep up the good work and as always, we hope to see you again
