So AVG deleted a folder in GD thinking it was a trojan (dumb AVG) and now I can't open it. It keeps attempting to open it, I get the "starting Geometry Dash" Steam pop-up but it just never starts it, and it doesn't stop until I close the pop-up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling twice, but it didn't work. I also tried uninstalling, deleting the GD folder and then reinstalling but that also didn't work...
Help ;-;
Edit: Ok, seems like it happens with every Steam game I try to open. Fuck.

This was the same issue with me, I resorted to deleting AVG.
For some reason AVG detects one of the files to be a 'Trojan horse', all you have to do is re-install the game and remove AVG, which sucks but still.
I do not think you will lose your progress from re-installing the game since I did it and no progress was lost, but just in-case try back up your account on a secondary device. (if you have one with geometry dash installed).

You can add your Steam games to the exception list, disable real time protection and/or uninstall AVG (if you really hate it and don't want to use it).

Wow, so much people are using AVG. Honestly, I don't like this antivirus, but whatever.
As said above, add the files as an exception or just disable the antivirus when you're going to play.
