So I've been working on a level called Midnight Rain. I've probably put more than 20 hours of work into it, and I'm hoping it gets noticed.
Level - Midnight Rain Creator - Speedee Requested Stars - 6 Level ID: 25676937
Thanks you

Cube Section (0-16%) - First of all, your background is very copy and pasted, the stars and rain are all exact replicas. Try changing the size, orientation, rotation, and position of the separate pieces so it looks a little less uniform and not as copy-pastey. The gameplay was kind of dull, it's mostly just a bunch of spikes popping up from the ground, then some orbs. The thing with the orbs is the green one is a blind tap. Try to make it so we can see what's coming up, without that it just becomes memorization.
Ship Section (17-27%) - Again, the copy and paste is kind of visible, although there was some slight variation in here. Another thing I'd like to add is that the colors are all monochromatic, maybe try some color combos. The gameplay took a deep recession, there's no warning for the pop ups, and there's also these empty sections with nothing but avoiding the floor and ceiling. Again, make all obstacles visible so we have time to react, or add a warning.
Ball Section (28-47%) - The background was again a little better with different rotation and sizes. I'd suggest using "Don't Fade" for the background though to make a smoother transition. The gameplay was much better too, much more variety. Again though, I'd tone down the orbs a little. Additionally, your block designs aren't really designs at all. Try using multiple objects to maybe make some complex and good-looking block designs.
Robot Section (48-63%) - This is a small detail, but the bubbles aren't really circular and it kind of looks strange. The gameplay was decent, but now there's just no orbs at all, and just plain old jumps.
Wave Section (64-82%) - The wave gameplay is pretty good here, maybe you could've thrown a mini-wave section, speed portals, or gravity portal to change it up a little, but it's alright. I feel like it would look better if you inverse the design and put all those stars and stuff as part of the block design instead, and leave the wave-ing part clear. Also, try rotating some of the objects to make them a little less copy-pastey. You did change the size, but there's only two sizes really.
UFO Section (83-100%) - The gameplay was decent, but maybe you could've changed the obstacles up a little, they're all jut these giant pillars. The background and foreground deco was pretty good, but again try to change the size and rotation of those stars. The sun art also looks a little off to me, but its passable. This is easily the best part of the level, and a good way to finish it off.
I'm just gonna stop with the numbers in my judging because they're honestly BS.
OVERALL - Gameplay - It wasn't great, it wasn't terrible. On the bright side, no bugs. It can be very dull though. Try adding speed changes, gravity changes, all of those portals to make your gameplay dynamic and interesting. Also try to balance orbs with obstacles, a lot of the time they're all clumped together, and too much of each close to each other makes for dull gameplay. Finding the right balance is the key to good gameplay. Finally, put spikes on the ceiling or something to kill the player when they go flying into the ceiling, and avoid pop-ups if you can. Deco - I said this like a billion times, but you need to work on making those backgrounds look less copy-paste. Use rotation, scale, color, etcetce blahblahblah I've said this before. Just do that and it'll look a million times better. Also try to use more objects to create custom block designs. Try looking at recent levels for inspiration, but just don't copy them directly. Overall I'd try to avoid that cluttered type of decoration unless you can pull it off really well. Finally, try to change up the color combos, right now it's very monochromatic. Sync - The sync was ok for the most part, but some parts were off-key and the ship parts didn't really have anything.
FINAL PLACEMENT - Decent
It's a decent level (literally and figuratively), if you try to improve on all those points I made it might be high-end Decent to low-end Good.
