First, let me start off by saying what I mean by "hacked" levels. I mean levels like Belic or Fexity that are hacked but still feesable to complete, and not levels like silent clubstep.
I pose this question because I often see people asking to rate levels like Belic and Fexity, but then say that robtop needs to unrate downbase because it's hacked. Personally, I lean towards the "sometimes" option. It depends on a lot of different factors. I'm personally fine with things like CC and ICDX being rated even though they're hacked, and more recently things like landect and BoF. If the level is decorated and put together well, I don't really care. However, there are some ratings that I disagree with. For example, downbase used to be updated all the time, and spectra always maintained he was legit even though it was obvious he was hacking. That to me warrants the level being unrated, because he's abusing the fact that it's rated to spike the difficulty and pretty much do anything he wants. Another example of a level that I disagreed with (and is now unrated and deleted) was "Theory of Darkness." This level had a 1.6 style to it which was cool, but it was essentially just a bunch of broken gameplay and near impossible ship sections. One of the ball parts was so broken that it was pretty much impossible to get past it in normal mode. If a level is so lazy that the gameplay is broken and near impossible, then I think it's worth unrating it.
Overall, I'm kinda indifferent to the topic. I'm not the guy who's screaming for robtop to rate Belic, but I'm also not the guy who complains when obviously hacked levels get rated (with a few exceptions). Anyways, I'd love to know your thoughts.

not a single hacked level should be rated, what's even the point of having a verification system in this game then?
why should anyone bother to even try verifying their levels when they could just hack it and still get away with the feature just because it "looks good and it's beatable" :/

No, they shouldn't be rated. If you create a level, you should take some effort to verify them. If they're too hard, then get someone to help.
I'm against it, because people get CP in an unfair way. If it should be here, at least someone should beat it to prove it's possible.

If it looks good, who cares if it was hacked or not? Without levels like cataclysm (which was hacked) people wouldn't have tried to push the limits of what players could do, and the community in general could have lesser skill.
Hacked levels are fine, it's their fault that they don't get to say it was verified legit.

People should just make levels they can actually verify, instead of creating an extreme demon they obviously cannot beat and hacking it, and getting it rated. I dislike when a level is hacked yet still rated or featured, part of making a good level (particularly a difficult one) is verifying it and that requires effort, just hacking it takes a good chunk of that required effort for making a level away and it seems cheap when said hacked level is rated and or featured. So unless someone actually beats the level (which shouldn't even be the case, there's a reason why people can verify levels.), I don't think it should get rated, but that's my opinion.
