Meh. I mean, we really don't get that many introduction threads, and most of them fit pretty well in unrelated/the lounge. Making an entire board purely for it seems like a bit of a stretch, although it would probably get more people to make a thread in there. I can say I've seen this in other forums as well, and it was pretty nice, but I'm not sure if it would really fit here.

That's just my 2 cents though.

Like TimeLink said, it would pretty much be an empty board since we get like 1 or 2 introduction threads every month. I have seen it happen on other forums and it had a positive impact, however I don't see it happening in this forum. We already have way too many boards as of right now, and it would just cause more confusion for new members.

I agree with everyone above, I don't think it's really necessary, plus the fact that it would be a pretty empty board. It's not a bad idea, and it does work on some forums, but I don't think it's right for this forum.
