Should percentage be based on time (how long you survived: 30 sec. / 1 min 30 sec. = 33%) or should it be based on distance (how it is now, quicker speeds make percentage bar fill up quicker)?

Distance. Easier to compute and gives you information on where you actually are in the level. Also, the level length in seconds is not a granted value, as speed portals can change the outcome of 1 or more level completions.

Percentage based on time doesn't really make sense or work, unless you want people dying at different percentages on the same part of the level or dying past 100% and the game isn't based on how long you can survive to beat the level, it's about the level itself so percentage should show where in the level you actually are

We need an option to toggle whether the percentage bar should show how much time/distance you spent/went in the level ( ๑‾̀◡‾́)σ»
Edit: Nevermind, this might cause some confusion. Distance should remain.
