So I, and maybe some others, have left forum staff. The way Ryan acts and how he treats me, and people who do so much as to disagree, made the decision for me.
This is just an announcement. Do not flame or hate on anyone.

You know I've been staff for over a year now, and experienced many different owners (R4Z0R, Stardust1971, Sigma and now RyanAB) but only judging from the fact that Sigma stepped down from being OWNER because of Ryan I know that he is horrible. Don't get me wrong he is a nice person but a terrible owner. I have no regrets of leaving nor will I ever have them.

Okay, I have officially had enough of all the bullsh*t that's been going on around here, and now I fell like I can say whats on my mind. I love the forums and they were the only thing keeping me in this community but I don't want to be a part of it any more. Whats my problem? Its ryan... now I'm not going to be hating on him in any way here and I'm just going to be honest with my opinion. Hes a loose cannon, he keeps making changes that effect the forums without consulting other staff members in ANY way what so ever. for example, today he made changes to the forum board structure without consulting anyone else who was a member of staff (not even myself) at all, and all in all the change was not good and most of the staff didn't like the change. the sad part is, he doesn't care :/ He feels like he can do what he wants because he's in charge. Im sorry to disappoint you ryan, but up until this point you weren't the only one in charge. well now you are, so feel free to make as many changes to the forums as you see fit. He said and I quote: "you're too scared to do anything half the time" , He apologized for this shortly afterwards but well... its kind of been true, but not anymore. I tried doing something and me leaving is the result, there is no way to have a discussion with Ryan without him trying to defend himself in some way or sound like the authoritative figure. You're not Ryan, we ran the forums as equals. I have a few examples in the conversation we had not but an hour or so ago (Ill include most of the conversation but will spoiler it to avoid excessive scrolling): Ryan: "you're stuck thinking that we have to keep the current judges happy or else they'll uprise or something

Me: "IK, but everything is just an unorganised mess rn :/"
Ryan: "then lets organize it
i've been wanting to do so, but no one will help out
we're all just here accusing eachother"
Me: "Okay, first step: Revert to the old system for now."

There are a million and one things wrong with this :/ mostly hypocrisy. I'm not going to point out specifics, but Ill let you see for yourself. Here's the Idea that I had, Ill let you decide and discuss this for yourself: 1. Revert to the forums old level judging system 2. Resume Planning of the new forum rather than p*ssing about with this f*ckery 3. Once the system is ready then beta-test it on a separate platform and tweak/improve things based on feedback. 4. Introduce the new system fully when the new forums officially launch Look, this isn't a thread of me hating on Ryan :/ Even though he does some questionable things he only wants whats best for the forums... his methods are just a bit out there. Ryan, I may have sounded harsh towards the end of that conversation but we can still sort this all out. I'm not completely p*ssed off with you but I'm still not happy with what you've done overall. I'm not the one who should be giving an apology here and so I wont but Ryan, know that I will accept one from you. Also I've been using the forums less and less lately anyway, so just consider this the final push I needed. So, this is me quitting and the reasons why (Hopefully This wont be forever, Ill check back now and again to see how things are). Goodbye <3 |

So now you too...well, I can't say this is too much of a suprise, seeing how you handled in the staff chat, but it's still a little disappointing. I mean, in times like this we've got to get change. And if Ryan isn't going to give us it, then it looks like we'll have to get it ourselves. Truly, I respect your decision and hopefully this mess will be cleaned up soon. Goodbye.  |
