This thread will be about memorizing Wingdings, I've already memorized Wingdings myself. I don't need to decode Wingdings text when I see one, I just read it easily.
This whole thread is in Wingdings, so if it's not, then your browser probably doesn't support Wingdings, which is a sad thing.
If you have troubles reading this text, just change the font to Webdings and everything will be readable.
Okay, to start this tutorial, you must first focus on lowercase letters first, because they are more easier to memorize, and they are more frequently used.
1:
The easiest letters to remember are "f","o", and "x". Because these letters resemble letters themselves.
It may not seem to look very similar, but these letters are the only closest ones.
2:
Start by memorizing the vowels.
These letters are the most frequently used, so you'll need them the most.
3:
If you look closely, you'll see that some letters have patterns.
"l" and "m" are both circles, one is just shaded and the other not,
"n","o", and "p" are all squares. Just with different shadings.
"q" and "r" are cubes at different angles.
"s","t","u","v", and "w" is just like a frame-by-frame animation of a diamond.
"x" and "y" both have a box surrounding it
4:
Unfortanutley (yes, I am an expert in spelling), for other letters, you might just need to memorize them.
Letters "a" to "i" are all zodiac signs, so if you know these well, this will be quite easy for you.
"j" and "k" are just "ET" and "&" respectively.
And finally, "z" is the Command key on a Mac keyboard.
And there! That's how you memorize the lowercase letters of Wingdings!
Next is uppercase letters, this is quite difficult because each letter looks similar. But the methods are actually just similar to lowercase letters.
Unlike for lowercase letters, uppercase letters don't have any letters that resemble themselves...
1:
The most common uppercase letters are "A","D","G","I","T" and "W".
2:
To memorize the hand gestures, think of it like this:
"A" and "B" are 2 and 3, respectively.
"C" and "D" are like, and its opposite, dislike.
"E","F","G", and "H" are pointing at different directions, left, right, up, and down respectively.
Finally, "I" is just an open hand.
3:
Again, we can see some patterns in the other letters.
"J","K","L" is a transition from happy to sad.
"M" is a bomb, which shows it is dangerous in "N".
"O" and "P" are flags with different shapes.
"R","S","T" shows different weathers, sunny, rainy, and snowy.
"U","V","W" are just crosses of different forms.
4:
Finally, the remaining letters are just memorization. I guess just 4 letters wouldn't hurt.
That's it for letters, for numbers and symbols, I guess they just require pure memorization for that. Sorry, I couldn't find any method for that
That's it for this thread, if you really want to memorize the whole Wingdings easily, just use it everyday if you'd like.
Anyways, this whole thread is even practice for that!
Thank you for reading this thread, I hoped it helped you.
