I just uploaded Minimalistic Era, the one which is about 1.4 on my Update series! Worth checking out as this one took me long time and I was innovative with those objects! ID: 24451103 YouTube video: youtu.be/jnksA9aC9kQAnyone interested may also see the videos about those levels. And if you like them, please consider subscribing! NOTE: These levels represent the OLDER versions of the game, despite the fact that this is 2.0 currently. You have to rate the level for its appearance and gameplay as of 1.4. I'm mentioning it a second time just in case. NOTE 2: I have to admit that I used some 2.0 editor tricks (custom objects, group parents, editor layers) but those do not affect the general appearance so they don't matter! Plus they really helped me on building stuff. Please be fair when judging and thanks for your time. Mechanguis

How i judge: 1-2 = needs improvement 3-4 = decent 5-6 = good 7-8 = great 9 = feature worthy 10 = perfect
Gameplay - 5/10: Ok so the first cube part was ok, just i didnt get much of a warning about the blue gravity ball or anything. try allowing the player to understand that it is coming up by putting a warning sign there or something? the first ship part was great just it was so short. i would recommend try making it a bit longer as it honestly does make for a fun challenge. Now the First ball part was also ok, nothing wrong there. Except for the transition to the next cube part was just bad, i can't tell you enough how that one part pissed me off so much, it just feels so wrong and out of place and just doesn't flow well. with the 2nd cube part i loved it. only problem with it is that it is pretty random. no real problems with the rest of it except for in the 50%-52% part, how are the players supposed to know what to do their? give some type of warning there or something. rest of it was decent just needs to be smoothed out a bit more and just needs some warnings on some parts.
Design - 3/10: biggest reason is just honestly there is a lot of repetitive parts in the level and the background with the red clouds? i don't get the clouds at all just change them or remove them. the rest of the background was ok it was just that it was quite repetitive and never really gave me any hype.
Originality - 4/10: you seemed to add some pretty original designs and some nice and fresh parts to your level, some parts i have seen from other levels but other than that i think you did a decent job.
Sync - 7-10: this level synced with the music really well, i had no problems with it except at some points when it did seem to lag behind or press ahead of the music. other then small little mistakes you did really well.
Overall - 4/10 (high tier decent) this level was pretty OK. didn't love it but i didn't hate it, if i have to say one thing to the creator, work hard on this level and this could be pretty awesome.

I bet you can't see it but I have worked hard enough... Just saying... You have no idea what it takes to find a good BG pattern using only 1.4 objects. I really thought I would get a very good review or at least a 6/10, you gave me a 4/10. Okay, nothing much about it, YET THE FACT THAT I DIDN'T WORK HARD? U WOT M9?

also your level was decent THATS THAT. i really do think this level could be awesome just i feel like its just not there yet.
Im going to be honest with you, I WANT THIS LEVEL TO BE GOOD. it looks awesome theoretically and i can see what you are going for, (plus making a 1.4 map that matchs todays standards... ughh) so yeah, decent level could be awesome just doesnt feel like its their yet. honestly i wanted to give this a 5/10 or a 6/10 just i have to be honest.

Gameplay It's decent, can be bad at times but overall quite decent. 6/10 Design It's bad. Just that. It's bad. 4/10 Sync The sync fits perfectly with the song, some parts are questionable, like from 29% to 35%, but i'll let that slide because it's very hard to sync there. 10/10
Overall score: 20/30 It's decent for the gameplay, design needs improvement ASAP, but the sync is near perfect, since i don't use decimals in my score i just put a 10.

Thanks for the review... piepoon How could I make it better? Like what is wrong with it? And I used custom BGs everywhere because a) I'm tired of the ol' classic Square-ish BG and b) It is revolutionary for this era, like the curves that I also added using the cornerpieces... xD BTW, I just went a bit mad at the fact that you said that I didn't put enough work on it, while I was having trouble finding BG patterns using 1.4 blocks... All cool, all chill.

ok lets see, firstly whilst i was playing i never really found your background fun. it never gave the level impact and honestly it was "somewhat" repetitive. anyway anything that involves curves or act like ropes or what ever would fit quite nicely in this level, using the natural background with your own custom bg is really effective and seeing something that is meant to be based on clutter-funk would be AMAZING.
your level in general just needs more warnings at those parts where you can no longer see the character, those spots involve more pure memory then skill making them tedious.
there were some pretty bad transitions in between some parts like when you go from the ball to the ship. it was just glitchy in some areas and i feel like just a small tweak in some areas would make them feel alot more smooth.
other than that your level design was ok and i didn't have too much problems. so yeah that was decent, you had pretty well done syncing which doesn't really require too much attention right now.
OVERALL, you should work on leveling the amount of natural and custom bg goes into this level, you should focus on being more player friendly as even though this is a insane it isn't a demon, transitions between gamemodes (e.g. ball to ship, wave to cube, etc), fix small syncing problems and stuff like that.
you do this and i would give you 8 to maybe even a 9, though maybe a 7 is ok cos i mean the idea isn't as original.
anyway, hope this level becomes dank as f*** and remember harsh judges are the best judges. see ya

The transitions are meant to be like this, remember this would be a Demon back then, and I can only add some pulsating stuff to tell the player where to go.

Minimalistic Era by AlFas
Gameplay Pretty good for a 1.4-styled level. The gameplay has a ton of transitions to freshen things up but most of them are long enough such that it's not too disorienting to play. Difficulty is also fairly balanced and stays consistently hard the entire time.
The big issue with the gameplay is something I've noticed in the other Era levels as well. There are some parts where obstacles or jump orbs/pads are offscreen and the player can't see them until they're about to pass it. This is especially noticable in the latter half of the level where it starts getting transition-heavy and the camera moves around a lot. 69% and 77% both have portals which move the camera down and it's impossible to know what's going to happen unless the player already knows it beforehand. Avoid transitions like these since even if they're auto, it's still possible for the player to tap and die since they don't know what's going to happen. If you will use them, make sure the player can't die immediately after entering the portal regardless of whether they tapped or not.
Decoration While there weren't any empty parts in the level, there were times where the decoration got too messy. A lot of the level were filled with too many sawblades to the point where it looked messy, especially 48-59%. Always make sure there's enough space between the sawblades and use all 3 different kinds instead of just the biggest one all the time to make it look more organized instead of all over the place. Also, while the addition of the block backgrounds were nice and filled the level up quite a lot, I do think there should've been a few parts with no block background to make it less repetitive (the different blocks used all look almost identical).
That being said, the level has its good moments as well. Block design is varied up often and makes good use of all the blocks that were available on 1.4. Also, like I said above, there weren't any empty parts in the level.
Music Sync Great job here. The transitions and especially the jumps of the cube and robot were very well-synced to the music.
Overall There are some major issues with the level but it has the potential to reach good. Decent.
