I made a level called Pneumatic Clock, ID is 22178304. This was my first level that I actually got the courage to upload :P (most likely gonna be Decent or worse...) :( Alright, here's your review :D Gameplay Complements:—For a beginner, you synced the gameplay to the music relatively well especially in the first square. When you do this it makes the level much more fun to play —The gameplay was not confusing; for the most part it was pretty easy to understand where the icon was supposed to go, this is very important for most levels so keep that up! —You mixed up the gameplay pretty well. It never got particularly boring because of one section that was too long, or because of doing the same thing over and over again. Repetitive gameplay is not fun so good job keeping that out of there Gameplay Suggestions:—I'd advise you not to make portals invisible, ever. For almost all purposes invisible portals just surprises the player when it doesn't need to, and makes them die and have to memorize what the portal is and where it is. For example, in the first ship I died a lot because I couldn't see the gravity portal. —Playtest your level as often as you can. The more you test it by playing it, the more likely you are to catch bugs and weird things that aren't supposed to happen. When you find bugs that might be frustrating to die at, fix them! The less bugs the better. Decoration Complements:—I like the "pneumatic" theme you made. Most levels are better when they feel cohesive and all part of the same whole, and I think you did that pretty well, while still changing things up every so often. —The decoration is very clean and neat looking! Most "first levels" that I see are pretty messy, with lots of ugly overlapping decoration. Everything should be placed with a purpose and I think you knew what you were doing for the most part. —There wasn't too much copy and paste; when people copy and paste the same decorations and structures over and over a lot, it makes the level look lazy. I'm glad you mostly didn't do that (besides the ufo part). Decoration Suggestions:—I think you should experiment with "blending". If you don't know what blending is, its an option you can put with a checkbox for any color. Its hard to explain, but you should definitely try it out, its important to making good color schemes. For example, I think the red and green parts of your level would be better with blending. —Some parts are pretty empty. Places like the mini cube part that have almost nothing on the screen generally look bland and make the level seem unfinished. I recommend finding a way to make those spaces look less empty. Try making structures above the player, or maybe some air decoration perhaps. Use your imagination! Overall:—I think your level is pretty good for a first and definitely a step in the right direction. Its not worth a star rating right now but I could see you improving, don't be afraid to try new things and upload levels :) —I will be moving the level to Decent. I also think that if I had to put a difficulty on it, it would be 5 stars.
