There's been some debate about the so-called "difficulty fluctuation" and about how levels are getting less stars than they deserve, so here's the question:
(Obviously implying RobTop never created it) If Clubstep was created in 2.0's later days (these months) with the exact same gameplay (and very good decoration, so it will get rated at least), would it get rated Demon or would just be an Insane level?
(I know some people think that TOE 2 is easier, but this thread was created with my point of view. If you believe that TOE 2 is indeed easier, please replace Clubstep for it for your vote)

For me it still would be a demon - an easy/very easy one, but still. The first 60% is fine, but after this it gets harder and harder. It probably would be an insane rated level if not the mini ships.

I think it will still be demon, given that RobTop is perfectly fine with rating levels like X and Motion demon. The 3rd-5th ship parts are all fairly hard and require quite a bit of ship skills to get through easily.

I personally hate the whole difficulty inflation thing. People getting better =/= levels getting easier. Most "hard" 4-5 star levels are easy for most players. If that is the case, then why cant demons be easy for some players? They will still be hard for newer players. If you are good enough it is possible for a hard demon to be easy for you. Example is Windy Landscape. Many good players call it easy demon. But just because you beat it easily, that doesnt make it an easy demon. It just means that you are good enough that hard demons are easy for you. I am good enough that I can easily complete most 7 star levels, just because they are easy for me that doesnt mean I say they should be easy 2 stars. If people keep getting better, eventually 1000 people will have beaten bloodbath, and some people will find it easy. That does not mean, imo, that it should ever be called anything but extreme demon. So yes, clubstep should still be demon because even though it is easy for experienced players, it is still a very difficult level.

I definitely think it would've gotten demon. There are recent levels that are basically on par or even easier than Clubstep that got demon. (Like Mirror Force, Huakai, debatably Nitrogen.)

So True, still haven't beaten it.... But I mean hey I came back to GD 2 months ago, so thats okay, I unlocked all the demons though. I stopped GD at 1.0 and came back in 2.0 |
