what do you think of the more common composers like waterflame, f-777, xtrullor and such?
i personally highly dislike most of f-777s songs once i listen carefully, they are repetetive and use sou ds that hurt my brain.
i usually don't mind them in levels, the songs suit videogames
though i wont put waterflame on my playlist, i can appreciate his songs more, and i prefer his songs over f-777s songs ingame.
i can barely listent to the music rukkus makes, and though xtrullor is much better, his drops are too strange for me (except for supernova).
but i made this tread mostly for opinions on f-777, do you like his songs, and what do you like about them?
Because i will almost never just listen to any song used in gd (with exceptions, ill talk about them later).

and for the thread, obviously depends on song, for the case of f777 i like songs like dance of the violins and once more but i don't like viper or space battle

f777 songs have a good melody but are often very repetitive. if i ever find a song with an amazing melody it’s made up for with repetition. that’s why i love dimrain47’s later songs: they’re not repetitive at all, and they have many different melodies. But every single melody is ear candy. a lot of them really evoke emotions.

Newgrounds music is not something you would listen to for fun, (at least I don't) but it's nice to have in video games.

F-777:
Theory of Everything 2 was made in collaboration with F-777 and it's my favorite song out of the main levels. I used to really like Deadlocked too but it's gotten a little old now. F-777's Meltdown songs are good.
Waterflame:
Waterflame has a very distinct style. I like some of his songs. My all-time favorite of his is Chaotic. I'm not too sure about Time Machine or Jumper. I like Hexagon Force and Blast Processing.
Xtrullor
I haven't listened to much Xtrullor, but I like Supernova (though it is overused) and Cry.
ForeverBound:
I dislike Stereo Madness, though it is very iconic. Stereo Madness 2 and Stereo Madness 2015 are okay. ForeverBound seems to make mostly chill songs.
DJVI:
The melody in Back on Track is nice but there's something wrong with the song itself. I absolutely love the drop in Can't Let Go. Dry Out is one of my favorites. My least favorite songs by DJVI are Base after Base and Cycles.
dj-Nate:
I like Clubstep and Electrodynamix from dj-Nate (mostly the second part). And as I said before, Theory of Everything 2 is my favorite. I'm not sure about Theory of Everything.
Step:
Polargeist is one of my favorites in general.
MDK:
I've heard MDK's songs before and I like them. Fingerbang is no exception.
So, in conclusion, I like MOST of the main level songs. I dislike a lot of the overused songs in online levels. I'm partial to complextro-type music, which is probably why I like TOE 2 so much.

Xtrullor is good
Waterflame is ok
MDK is really good
Rukkus is pretty good
Foreverbound's only good song is Summer breeze tbh
Bossfight is really good
DJVI is meh, some of his music is awesome and some is bad

Same thing as Dogedash, it's cool to hear those songs while you're playing, but I doubt I'll ever go to Newgrounds or Youtube to just hear them in full...
