Imo, 144hz doesn't matter that much, you still need to be good at the game to beat demons. It does make it easier, but it doesn't make it so easy that there has to be all this drama in the community.

It does make the game quite a bit easier coming from a 144 Hz user.
Extreme demons are still ridiculously hard though.

It matters quite a bit, most straight ship sections will now be a piece of cake compared to what they were before. In levels with a lot of difficult ship sections (like Cataclysm) 144hz will make the level easier a a whole.

It makes ship rediculously easier, and it has small benefits for everything else. What many people don't realize is that it's about the input delay, not the actual hz (the hz helps a little bit, but not nearly as much as the input delay). 144hz monitors have a 1ms input delay, which means that there is a delay of 1 millisecond between when you push the button, and when it displays on the screen. Most 60hz monitors have a 5 millisecond delay, but this can be reduced by turning off vsync (but it will cause screen tearing). However, what many people forget is that some 60hz monitors actually have a 1 millisecond delay, making only slightly worse then 144hz. Also, I hate how some 60hz players are always complains about 144hz, but then they completely ignore the fact that mobile players have it the worst. Most mobile devices have 60hz, but the input delay is a LOT worse. If my research is correct, the fastest input delay on a mobile device is about 40 milliseconds. That essentially means that 60hz monitors are about 8 times faster then a mobile device. And that doesn't even account for android, which has a terrible input delay. So overall, 144hz helps, but extreme demons aren't going to be easy. Many 144hz players are just really good. Surv tried to beat ICDX on 60hz, and he was able to get to about 50% in 1 day. So ya, that's what I think

Depends how you define 'a lot' and it is kinda subjective. My computer is horrible so I would probably benefit more from 144Hz than others. But 144Hz (AFAIK) does help quite a lot with timing and straight fly.

As someone who has used a 60hz, 75hz, and 144hz monitor in GD, I can confirm that there isn't much of a difference in playing the game. 144hz monitors DO have some benefits, but mostly with flying. It doesn't make it easy to straight fly though, at least in my experience in using it. Overall, the game IS easier with 144hz, but ONLY really the ship, which isn't even affected as much as people seem to think it is.

75hz is the worst, it has all the bugs from 144hz but the game feels like 60hz EDIT: why is my mini profile BG broken on this thread? Mini-profiles don't work on some threads, idk why

I don't really know, because it's hard to find the info about this stuff. Whenever you look it up, it mostly comes up with results on how to make your phone more responsive, but not the actual input delay. The fastest input delay I could find on a mobile device was 30 milliseconds. I found out that an iPhone 5 has 55ms. What I would recommend doing is running your own test. I don't know how to do that, but I'm sure there's a tutorial somewhere, and I've seen several references to people conducting these tests. Sorry I couldn't give the exact answer, but I hope I helped
