[ti]demon[/ti]Catastrophe by Kaito and Miyolophone (Verified by Cinci!)

If I miss anything major in this review its because this was slightly rushed due to the fact I have very limited time to review right now.

The main things I believe you can improve are bullet pointed, with a summary of what you did well beneath category.

Gameplay (9/10) - Is your gameplay balanced, fun and interesting?

Difficulty: Some parts feel like a hard demon, some super easy like the mini cube at 51%.

First dual: Could be a bit buggy depending on how you enter the portal, however this can be easily memorised so its not too much of a problem.

Positives in this category: Mixed duals are nice and play well, the portals that sync with the drop are original and sync really well in my opinion, although they probably could have all been placed on a vertical slope to add height. Really good use of transitions slopes and speed changes. Nothing else really to say here.

Design (9/10) - How well does your level flow? this includes sync too!

Theme consistency: Theme could be a little inconsistent with parts like 18% having nothing to do with cats 57 to 64% was also a little lacking. Other than those 2 parts I feel like there were an adequate amount of cats in the level

Positives in this category: All parts had amazing deco and gameplay sync, Cat theme is really cool with some great pixelart and a nice flow to it consistently throughout the level.

Decoration (9/10) - How pretty does your level look? this includes effects!

Block design: The block design at the start can be kind of bland, especially in a light brown colour scheme.

Copy & Paste: This is a very small thing but the cat arm/hand could seem a little overused in areas, and some of the same pixelart is used a fair bit in the level. this is only a small thing but still something to look out for when making a level.

Positives in this category: The pixelart in this level is amazing, the part with the remote is probably one of the most creative parts in a cat level ever and looks great. Most of the technology based designs are cool and the level and using the cat paws inside the blocks was a nice touch. Effects were stunning and an overall great job in this category.


Originality (Multiplier x1.15)
The cat rewinding with the remote was original and somewhat comedic. Same with most of the art and block design. Song is unoriginal but really suits the theme, as no assets were directly stolen from any other levels using this song I won't penalise you too much for that though.

Category: Feature Worthy

I like this level a lot. Even if I missed something knit-picky, this level is still awesome. You and Miyolophone are very talented creators. I'm gonna add this to my level picks once I get around to making that. Hopefully this will get into a skitten dedicated levels video, it deserves it. Good work and GL on feature
