Could use some fixing Up Level
Design: 6.7/10
Honestly, the designs were really basic. I would add more complex designs, and add more designs at some parts.
1. From the beginning to the first rocket ship. I would add some BG flashes to make it look more like a meltdown level. I liked the designs for the beginning the most out of the whole level in my opinion, just needed BG flashes.
2. First rocket ship to intro with cube. I loved the rocket ship part. It was great, and had good coloring except for the circles in the middle leading the ships way. First, the coloring of it was weird a bit to me as the Player colors. On the first normal gravity ship part, you can change the orb colors to either orange or red. On the upside down ship, you could change the cirlces colors to dark blue/purple, dark pink, or any purple.
3. Intro in the cube part. The coloring once again looked a bit weird. I would change the shadowing color for the MazeRusher and spinning design color to a darker color of the original color, and lighten the color on the first layer of the intro's design and text.
4. First UFO. The block designs for the platforms looked a bit... funky. I would add some black glows on the sides of the platform, and add a visible platform covering so if you hit it, you die. I would do this to make it look more of a meltdown level, as of this is what the creator looked as he wanted it to look like.
5. Third cube part with the darkness text. I would make the monsters move like the real Viking arena with the covoring on the back of the monsters, moving.
6. First mini gravity ball part. Okay to be honest, not to be rude, but that part had the most bad design in the whole level. I would not use that design for that part. Instead, make it look like the part during the 3rd cube, because the designs and theme of the mini gravity ball part just looked too dull. Same goes to the normal gravity ball.
7. Last part with the cube. I would add way more designs, because that part just lacked a lot. The custom lower BG looked good, but I would add more details. I don't know what MazeRusher could add, sorry, but I know he could come up with some great ones!
Gameplay: 9.4/10
Somewhat solid gameplay. Had some dull parts, and repetitive parts, but was good.
1. First cube part. The single skinny platform blocks were repetitive a lot in the beginning. I would change the size of them, or replace them with slab platforms, or slab platforms with something holding them up, or jump rings at some part, and slabs! Loved the rest of the beginnings gameplay after that
2. The whole beginning/first rocket ships. The sawblades were very repetitive. I would use monsters of different types to make it look more of a meltdown styled level. The sawblades were good however. Just too repetitive.
Note: I know meltdown style levels are supposed to have the repetitive platforms at the drop, so I wont count off for this as this is very common, and has been used by RobTop in the official Meltdown App.
3. The whole gravity ball section. The gameplay was too dull, because the designs effected the gameplay. I would change the designs to improve the gameplay for this.
Music Sync: 9.9/10
Was somewhat off sync, somewhat on sync. Had a great mood in the level as well.
1. The beginning cube. The BG Flashes were kind of needed, because it could have improved it's sync better. I would add some different colored dark flashes in the background at the middle on sync to improve it.
2. Why did I put 2...
Overall: 8.6/15
The designs definitely needed MUCH improvement. I loved the gameplay the most. It was balanced, and somewhat solid at some parts. But I didn't like how repetitive it was. Music Sync was amazing. Surprising that I found 1 flaw in there
. But yeah, the designs need major improvement before it can be star rated, or being featured (Yes, it could get featured or moved to feature worthy maybe if it received a 9+ on the designs.)
My Opinion: Move to Decent | If Overall rises to 10-9+ and designs rise to 9+, move to Good. | If designs go to 10 and Overall rises to 11, feature 2nd page.
