Okay, I'll review this level, it's waited long enough. Gameplay: Overall, the gameplay is fun, in the places that there actually is gameplay that is. The first mini ship section is pretty easy; nothing is confusing or difficult in this part, so the player should be fine here. The mini cube part is actually fun, at least for me. It's simple gameplay, but the cool teleportation portal placements throughout this section make it pretty fun. The transition into mini robot mode is clear, and the first part of the gameplay here continues the fun. However, there is a huge empty section where you could have easily put in some more gameplay effects, at least up until the part where you added the wall. Even something that's just auto would be acceptable here, just something. This also is pretty misleading, as the next transition to wave mode is so quick, it'll be pretty confusing for an unexpecting player (like me). The wave mode itself isn't anything special; it's easy and well laid out, and there aren't any confusing areas. Finally, we have the last ship mode, which is easy; again, nothing special, that is until you get to the second empty space. I would have liked to end the level with something fun, like another mini cube mode, rather than just flying around aimlessly in a ship for the last 10%. Overall Rate: GoodDesign/Decorations: The design in this level is actually really awesome. The background in the first mini ship mode is kind of confusing, but nonetheless I am impressed with this background. I also really like the color changes in the lights, it adds a nice effect to this part. The mini cube part also has a cool background, but the foreground decor is rather lackluster in comparison. However, I do like the red foreground flashes throughout this part. The robot part continues the trend of pretty cool backgrounds, but also continues the lackluster foreground decor. I also like the wall effect in the empty section here, where the player is hidden. The wave mode continues with an awesome background, and has pretty cool foreground decorations, at least in my opinion. It's much more pleasing to see than just plain black blocks. Also, the background effects here are so cool, it makes this part really fun to play. Finally, the last ship mode probably has my favorite background; really outstanding in this area of creating! The foreground decorations are okay, but the effects give this section more uniqueness; I like the fast swipe out of these obstacles. Overall Rate: Feature-WorthyMusic Sync: Overall, the music sync is pretty good; not perfect, but good. The flashes in the mini cube mode are spot on with the beat, but the gameplay could match at little better in my opinion. The robot section background flashes are also pretty spot on, and the gameplay through here is also pretty spot on. The wave section is pretty good, there are some places that are almost off beat, specifically right before the background fade. The last ship section matches at first, and by this I mean the moving objects. These objects start out on beat, but the movement out of each continual object is ahead of the beat after the second one. After that one spot though, the other moving objects flash and move on beat with the music. Overall Rate: GoodKeep up the good work, you're definitely on your way to making a featured level! Total Rating: Good Level- Star-worthy, maybe even feature if lucky- 5 - 6
