Huh, my first Review with the new Judging System. Don´t blame me if this isn´t perfect yet, because the System is so confusing and I wasn´t even aware of it being a Thing until a few Days ago. I refuse not to make my Point for Point Review though, that would make it so much worse.
First Cube(0:26-0:35):
While this may seem like a nice Way to kick off the Level, I have noticed several Flaws with it. First off, I don´t quite think that the Design matches SM/BoT or any of the early Level really well. You already used more complex Structures with Spikes, Pillars and Pads, which I would have whole-heartedly welcomed in any Level but one that´s supposed to start at the very Origins of the Game. Back then, Gameplay was way mroe simple, and you also didn´t have some Things you(The Creator) already used here. I mean it´s nice for sure, but not in a Level that´s supposed to start at 0. Secondly, there were some really unpredictable Things here. The fake at the Start was ok, because you could have seen it coming, but I mean Things like the green Orb for the Coin. When you see it coming into the Screen it´s already too late and you can´t react anymore. At Points like this I always suggest just placing Gravity Portals, because they can easily catch you. By the Way, the same goes for when you fall back down onto the yellow Orbs.
First Ship:(0:36-0:41)
This Part is more like I would have imagined it, simple DN Style and Things alike. I can´t praise the Gameplay here, because it wasn´t too special, but it was certainly refreshing. This Part lacks quite a bit of Deco though, like some of these Beat-pulsing Objects would have been nice.
Second Cube:(0:42-0:49)
You certainly had better Gameplay here, and while it may have looked pretty confusing, it was fun for sure. The only real Complaint I have here is the Coin Placement. It honestly to me first looked like the intentional Way, while the one above looked like a Trap. You should have somehow changed that.
First Ball:(0:50-0:55)
A very xStep-like Part, liked it a lot, as it really gave over the Feeling of the original Level.
Third Cube(0:56-1:04)
This Clutterfunk Part was kinda meh, because it looked like a simple Layout with some Decoration, plus there were some invisible and unpredictable Things. Also the Transition into the ToE-Part could have been done better, both looked the same for a bit imo.
First UFO:(1:05-1:09)
All I can really say about this, is that it was too short to really make a nice Atmosphere and that it was heavily underdecorated. I like the Concept, but I feel like you could have made more out of it.
Fourth Cube:(1:10-1:18)
This Part was a bit too messy in general. Like, you had nice Ideas, but the way you executed them was not the best. Like that with the many fake Blocks, all you even really have to do for the Coin is hold. Plus, there´s another invisible Mini Portal, which comes very unexpectedly. And the Clubstep Part sure had a nice Idea as well, but it just didn´t really fit the overall Style of Cs, and it was right at the Drop too, where the Music was very unfitting.
Second Ship:(1:19-1:21)
While this did resemble Electrodynamix very nicely, I feel it was a little bit too boring to be Part of the latter. Like, Ed was very flashy, fast and hectic and such, and this was a pure monotone gray, with a relatively slow Ship. I didn´t find this Part too enjoyable, but well.
First Dual:(1:22-1:25)
Hey, a very nice Hexagon Force-themed Part. This was really fun, especially because it was something very-different-but-still-like-HF Type of Thing, if you get what I mean. I also like the Palettes here a lot, as they fit well together!
First Wave:(1:26-1:29)
A very nice Blast Processing Wave, with only a bit of Deco lacking, like there were some really empty Spots, but overall it was good, especially the Gameplay.
First Robot:(1:30-1:33)
I think you hit the Geometrical Dominator Style pretty nicely here, just that it seemed a lot Copy + Pasted, and the Sawblades all didn´t really look that good. The Gameplay also only mostly was Orb Jumping, which kinda takes away the Point of it being a Robot in first Place. But oh well.
Third Ship:(1:34-1:36)
Umm, ok? I´m not quite sure what this was really supposed to be, because it looked nothing like GD or Dl, and more like some kind of Water Level, but it looked pretty good, regardless. One Thing I don´t get though, why do you fly through a Block at one Point? It seems like an arbitrary Choice. At any rate, it´s still pretty nice.
Fifth Cube:(1:37-End)
Hmm, I see what Part of Deadlocked you were trying to make here, but it was waaay lacking Deco for that. This looks like some abandoned Ruins or something alike, but not really Dl. But it sure is a nice Way to finish off the Level, and this way too long and detailed Review.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gameplay: 16/20 Very nice for the most Part, but could have been improved in some Parts, mostly through ease of Transitions and visible Portals.
Design and Deco: 12/20 Definetely lacking in some Areas, while others feel very empty. You got your basic nice Styles though, which is good.
Flow: 6.5/10 Honestly it felt like a Clutter of a lot of Things more than a Compilation, but for the most Part it was very fun.
Originality: x0.92 Well, it´s a Re-decorated Mix of original Levels, and not only are they obviously based off of the Levels, but we´ve also had this like 10000000 Times already. Try to come up with something more unique next Time maybe.
Score: 33.54/60 or 5.59/10, 4 Belongs in Good/Not Star-Worthy. Leaving the Decision up to another Judge for now, because it was my first kinda wonky Review with this new System.
