OKay, I am going to try to do a revieuw but this is my first so I hope it wont be too bad xD
Gameplay - to be honest, I dont really like the gameplay. At the first part (0 - 20 seconds) I really like the gameplay because it has some variation and is not spam-heavy. But the wave part after that (20 - 28) seconds feels kind of repetative and a bit unoriginal (with that I mean that wave parts very often are just slopes, try for instance to add some gears a player has to find a way through, a spike on the side, or maybe moving objects, that way it doesnt feel like just going up and down) the part after that (ball + ship 31 - 44 seconds) the difficulty is easier than the rest of the level, butI dont have other problems with it.
The main problem I had with the gameplay, was the bossfight. For me, it was a combination between spamclicking and random luck. the boss was so fast and had so short pulses, that it felt like it wasnt about dodging anyore, but about hoping to not be at the wrong place at the wrong time. For a bossfight, I suggest to make more predictable movements, and for the boss to attack longer. Maybe some more variation too (take a look at Sirius for example)
Score for gameplay: 1.5/4
Design - The part from 9 - 19 is very well designed, because it isnt too plain and has enough variation in what you used. Overal the colors you used fit well together throughout the whole level, but the amounth of detail is inconsistent. The wave part from 20-31 seconds is for instance very plain, with copied + pasted snowflakes. I like the effect you used at 31-44 seconds, it is simple but effective, but on the otherhand I feel like that part relies too much on that effect and doesnt have anything else to show (like, add some more fire, or orange fog, more gears, then it doesnt feel that plain).
The bossfight again is very plain as well. I like how the boss looks, but given that it is a third of the level, I think there could have been put more detail and maybe some effects in. Now it is a copie + paste of 'lasers' on the background and besides that, almost no decoration.
score for design: 2/4
Music sync - The music sync is very well done, the movements go well timed to the music. At some parts like the wave (19-30) and tha ball + ship part (31 - 44) you it is a bit minimallistic (with that I mean that there are some points on music you could've made a movement with, but you didnt) I dont really know what to say more about it.
score for music sync: 1.5/2
originality - Nothing in this level is particulary original, but nothing is particulary unoriginal either, so a normal x1.00 multiplier.
Total score: 5/12. I think that indeed means decent
(high-decent though)
