Raising the object limit is a bad idea... But if he doesn't, people will complain and continue hacking the item limit (or at least more) You can't say he doesn't have to listen because as game developer he has to make sure the community is happy and do things that much if the community will agree with.

Ok, then how about, I don't know... Patch the game so people can't hack over the object limit? I NEVER said that. When did I ever say he should shut out the community? Do you think RobTop should just completely supply the demand without thinking about it? Have you ever thought that making the object limit higher will make mobile players lag when they play high-object levels? Do you really think this will even satisfy the community? People will want more and more and more and more and more. It's in our nature to want more than we need. We don't NEED a higher object limit. Didn't RobTop stop hacking with the 2.01 update? Why can't he stop the object-raising hack?

And I didn't say you exactly said that, it's just some people will argue that he doesn't need to listen to the community

Get a better devise, you don't need a really high end model to get no lag in GD these days A better device can only go so far, I've tried GD on those new iPad Airs and levels like Colourful Overnight still lag. Besides, why would you want to spend over 400x the money for a device only to play a game that costs next to nothing? > if you can't make it look better than Retention with less than 30k objects that's not worth having a higher obj limit NEWSFLASH!!! Steam version.

Games are going to update, requiring more power. Nothing we can do about it and the best thing to do is to adapt to it. If your device can't support it, that's ultimately not the developer's problem or anyone else's problem This game is a mobile game. Not a pc game that makes you have a pc with $200 graphics cards. Mobile games are supposed to be accessible and easy to run. There isn't a single other mobile game that I've played that is as hard to run as geometry dash. I can run so many other games on my iPod so why not GD? Why do I have to get an entirely new device to substitute my old one that can run literally every other popular game on the market? Yeah I get what you're saying, but this will only hurt the game and the community if it happens. Lol GD is not really a mobile game anymore. Most of the players now play on PC/Mac via Steam. There's next to no reason to play on a phone now, because PCs/Macs will always be superior devices. This shouldn't be a problem if you actually want to play GD. But, if you want to complain because your phone is becoming less capable, please do it privately.

It's most popular on mobile devices anyways and that's where the game originally started. Also, I the object increase won't really affect me, but it will make a large amount of players unable to play the game, which is a bad idea.

If you can give those to me, I might believe you. Anyway, inb4 if you really care about the game, "upgrading" to the Steam version shouldn't be a problem. And just because it originated as a mobile game doesn't mean it should stay a mobile game. And hopefully, if you're right about the mobile players not being able to play online levels anymore, the cancer that is the current community won't spread.

If anything, it's the steam community that caused this game to be bad. Looking at pre and post steam communities, it was better before. And that's besides the point. A lot of this community is on mobile. Making it so that a lot of people can't play the game anymore is only going to hurt than help

And if you don't care that much about the game, then you probably don't care enough to be constructive/helpful/at least not cancer to the community. Also, RobTop said that if a level has too many objects (i.e. 40k+) it has less of a likelihood of being featured so he preemptively solved this problem. Now I'm done arguing. You can say what you want but your "arguments" won't change my mind. I don't think it's a bad idea to remove the object limit.

You have to be one of the most arrogant, antagonistic, narrow-minded, bigoted player I have met in this game. You're obnoxious about your opinion on PCs/Macs and mobile devices, you are harsh and rude, and you are so close-minded that you can't accept other ideas other than before. Let me fix what Ian failed to do: convey his argument. According to steamcharts.com, the amount of players who play the Steam version of the game at the moment is 3,991. Don't believe me? Here is the link: steamcharts.com/app/322170Guess how many people own the iOS app alone? According to ratings, since you can only rate an iOS app if you own a copy of the game, 226,817 people own the game. Again, this is on the iOS platform alone! On the Google Play Store, 432,015 people have gave the game a review, and it was overwhelmingly positive reviews (that doesn't necessarily mean ALL the reviewers own the game, as you don't need to buy it to review it, but that's a lot of people who love the game, so...). On the Amazon App Store, 9,469 people gave the game a 5-star rating, so that must mean they have played the game themselves. In total, 668,301 own the game on mobile devices. How do you explain that? Next time, you should do your research, instead of being an idiot PC fanboy and spewing total bullshÃt to the rest of the community and acting like you know what you're talking about. YOU are the cancer. You are one of the reasons I dislike the community. Argumentum ad lapidem and faulty comparison. This is a form of silencing. Here you go. That's almost like saying we should just leave Earth and live on another planet because we've destroyed the environment nearly beyond repair. No one said that. You're just pulling things out of your ass now.

That's almost like saying we should just leave Earth and live on another planet because we've destroyed the environment nearly beyond repair. No one said that. You're just pulling things out of your *** now. First of all, thank you for the stats. They are very helpful. Also, your counterpoint saying, "That's almost like saying we should just leave Earth and live on another planet because we've destroyed the environment nearly beyond repair," is working in my favor. Thankfully, we haven't come to that point yet, but if we find an inhabitable planet with an untouched or nearly untouched environment then why shouldn't we? So thank you. Also, I said that it shouldn't necessarily stay a mobile game; but that's my opinion. Also, your last "argument," "You're just pulling things out of your *** now," is ad hominem, it isn't arguing against my opinion. Also also, I never said any of these things were facts; they are merely my opinion and just because I have an opinion doesn't make me narrow-minded, bigoted, or arrogant. In fact, saying that I am narrow-minded, bigoted, and arrogant because my opinion is different than yours is the definition of being bigoted and arrogant. And how is saying that PCs/Macs will always be superior devices faulty comparison? They have more potential and more capacity to run games than mobile devices do. Who wouldn't want to get GD on their computer if they have Steam? It would run better (unless you have an iPhone 6S and a Windows Vista laptop). EDIT "Next time, you should do your research, instead of being an idiot PC fanboy and spewing total bullsh** to the rest of the community and acting like you know what you're talking about. YOU are the cancer. You are one of the reasons I dislike the community." I said that I would like to see some stats, so obviously I did not do research for this. And I am hardly being "an idiot PC fanboy" or "spewing total bullsh**," I'm merely pointing out that computers in general (not just PCs) have way more capacity (as inb4) to run games and other things than phones do. This does not mean, however, that I think GD should be taken off of all mobile app stores. And by cancer, I meant people who whine and cry and crab about not getting features because their levels stink or because they disagree with others' opinions, etc. In my comments before, I wasn't being rude, I was just saying that Ian's arguments won't change my mind about the object limit. However, you are being rude "...arrogant, antagonistic, narrow-minded, bigoted...." Unfortunately for you, I am not the cancer I was talking about, you are and you have proved my point. Also, chocothep1e I want to know what you think of this. Also, we don't need to even have this argument, because RobTop said that levels with over 40k objects have a much less chance of getting featured. And by this, I mean this guy.
